Sawed off sucks, but the rest of the game makes up for it.
Wow more show up every day! I can't wait to see what we find next...
Haha the author nailed my own experience with Starcraft. Maybe I'll give this game a go.
Agreed on the D-pad. I wish they used the latest D-pad that MS put on the latest controllers. It has two modes that you can switch between by twisting the d-pad. Actually makes it more versatile than any other console D-pad. (Aside from the dedicated peripherals for games like Street Fighter). And... I don't even know what to make of that second comment... My hands are rather small actually.
Personally I think sniping is much easier in Battlefield but that may be because it just feels more natural. That ledge thing will get annoying though.
Then by definition those aren't unlockables. Those are "purchasables".
The trick is when the lambent berserker charges, it's chest opens up exposing it's insides. Then you fire away. Otherwise it's invincible.
So you payed over $300 just to play Gears? Props, that's what I call dedication!
"You know, I didn’t quite gather it. I don’t want to come across as defensive," he defensively said. "How do I phrase this properly? When people rated Gear 2 higher than Gears 3, it kind of upset me because I know Gears 3 is a better game on every level."
That sounds like a very legitimate answer to me. Blown out of proportion by teh medias.
I feel the same way, single player in R&C is always a sure-fire way to have fun. MP?... Indeed, only time will tell.
They're making a classic mode, so no worries mate!
Well said. I would go on to comment further but you pretty much nailed the issue on the head.
It's true originality has suffered, but it's certainly not for lack of trying. There are a finite number of genres, and these days there are enough studios to make hundreds of games in each genre every year. Being original at this point is... difficult, to say the least. I think Sony and MS tried to break the cycle with motion controls but so far they haven't been genre defying.
I'm not saying that every story has been told but until technology changes dramati...
"If you've stayed with me this far, then you at least agree that Gears of War captures the mood and the subtext of a real-life atrocity, albeit through heavy metaphor."
To be fair, the author acknowledges the topic is a stretch. And he MAY have a fair point. I remember watching the special features during "The Bourne Supremacy" and they mentioned that halfway through filming, 9/11 occured. As a result they completely reworked the plot and the movie was...
I'm glad a developer finally had the cajones to talk back to an ***hole. Too many people think they can get away with being jerks and insulting someone else's work. It's refreshing to see a little self-respect in the company.
Consider me sold.
I think so many developers get flak for releasing collector's edition for $10 or $20 more with only a steel case, art book, and making of dvd and people feel ripped off when they buy it. I'm guessing the devs wanted to avoid looking too money-grubbing.
Agreed! I can't remember the last time so many famous designers pooled their talents on one project like this. That's a very good sign.
I don't know what all those fancy words mean, but they shure sound purdy!
Yeah why not? I dont have 3d now, but in 5 or 10 years I might. Might as well have the choice. I guess I'm pro-3D.
