Ugh nostalgia, why do you do this to me lol. "goes and plays Halo 3"
One of the games I bought...Rome Total War Alexander think it was required me to activate the disk through Steam and then install the game. Seems like Xbox One would have done the same thing.
As long as the DRM policies are fixed, I don't think anyone will really have a problem with the system. The only thing that really bugged me about the system was 24 hour check ins.
The Kinect scare, well, people can hack your phone camera, laptop camera, computers and all that. So to me that was just an overblown issue if it's on all the time.
The digital sharing feature was very consumer friendly. And that's what the author is pointing out. Microsoft may have changed its policies, but we lost some of the best features about it, just because they were tied to their DRM bs.
Dont forget, PS3 used to have game sharing as well and it was limited by publishers once Capcom got wind of it.
It's not that by a long shot. There WERE some good features about Xbox One. However, the "fans" of the system and journalists alike counted the whole system as bad. So now that we go back and look at it, Microsoft righted one set of the Xbox's faults, but now they removed some of the best features from the console as well. Digital sharing was a HUGE step forward. But now they took that away, at least for now. So while we took a step forward with the Xbox One, now we took two...
Having game saves versus having a full game anywhere readily avaialble to play is a lot different.
"What's strange is that a console does not need to be always on for that. Their cloud isn't hosted withing YOUR internet connection. All you need is AN internet connection to access it. Your console could very well be buried 6 feet underground, smashed to pieces, you would still be able to access all the info you put in the cloud."

It's been a week since they unveiled the console. Better they change it now than later.
The disagrees speak otherwise but oh well haha. I'll speak my distaste for the Xbox One's policies with my wallet, not posting an online middle finger.
Not ashamed that were trying to get Microsoft to change their policies. I'm all for that. But seriously, giving them the finger on a comment like that, it's just plain immature any way you look at it.
@Sorry but a few people on the internet posting middle fingers isn't going to get them to change their policies. Sales will be the talker and if Amazon is any indicator its doing pretty well on pre-orders sadly enough. The uninformed will buy it up, don't worry....
Haha disagree with me all you want but there is a much more civil way to express to Microsoft that you don't like what they are doing with their policies. Giving them the finger in an online format like that? It's just immature. Never said I agree with any of Microsoft's polices about Xbox One. 24 hours check ins and all that is just plain stupid. But the way were handling this isn't what I like to see.
Sometimes I'm really ashamed to be a gamer.
Kinda misleading title ha.
Man...it'd be so so sooo cool if they used the GeoMOD system in Red Faction. Just think about it. You choose the evil path and just completely level the city. Think I need to make that game...haha
Haha nooooo. Quality games yes, best line-up, hell no. Really pushin for a flamebait title..
The opening was done perfectly imo. Not even trying to be on the "oh the game's so perfect banwagon". It seriously gave me a rush of feelings once everything started going down. I didn't know what to do, where to go and just the way it was presented made it feel so intense. I wish they had spent more time allowing us to play through the opening events. But man, my heart rate was up for those first few.
"Just a lame excuse to get more money in their pockets."
Looks like you do understand it pretty well :P
Takes 50 hours just to complete the main quest, so 50x36=1800 hours of gameplay if you want each ending lol. Just don't be surprised if someone tells you, you have no life. Hopefully the plat trophy doesn't need all 36 endings, I'd feel damn sorry for the poor sap who goes after that haha.
Have you played the first two? These guys know what they're doing, don't worry.
Watch_Dogs, The Division and The Crew all say hello. All three of those games look absolutely awesome, and you don't know that those Ubisoft teams aren't developing other projects on the side. Rainbow 6 was just revealed as a next-gen game yesterday as well.
The music Neil did was great no doubt, but you just can't hear it while playing. There's no audio settings to balance it out either which disappointed me. Still have high hopes for Halo 5 though, can't wait to see what's next.
