The guy isn't an idiot, and it's not really a click bait title, the game is linear, that's a fact made known by the devs and haven't said anything otherwise. He was given a ten minute demo, and he's giving his impressions based on that demo, I don't see the issue here. Other writers are saying the same thing about it.

...Halo 5: Gaurdian's comes out next year? There's no Halo on Xbox One right now, and bringing back all four games opens up avenues for people that never played them. You can play the original MP of 2 and 3, that alone is enough of a sell as those two games had some of the best MP ever.

That was a really bad read. Bungie has nothing to do with the remaster, people have been asking for this and Halo 2 original MP to return after Halo 4's disappointing multiplayer. If you're going to rant about it, at least try to be a bit more informed on why the collection is happening.
Well it is a sequel, it takes place 4 years after the original game. I just mean the "gameplay" part is being treated as a new IP.
