I'm sure money could be better spent on any subject you look into. Movie studios and publishers will spend their money the way they want. Would I have liked to see a better prince in the new Prince of Persia movie or a better treatment of a motion picture Dragonball? Of course, but I have no influence over these decisions so moping around about it won't make any difference.
Don't watch it then, no one's forcing you to.
A hardcore gamer can be two things:
Someone who is so skilled it takes a brutally unforgiving game to satisfy them.
OR
Someone who dedicates countless hours to the game, maybe not mastering it, but unlocking every little drop it has to offer.
The article is most likely referring to the second definition of a hardcore gamer.
awesome
Didn't the first Uncharted release a few weeks before Assassins? How do you borrow from a game that comes out later than your own game and was not even a proven franchise?
Have you learned nothing from our little discussion?
Fumito Ueda: Yes, it was slightly disappointing. Everybody was working so hard to make that trailer for E3, staying up the whole night - then the next day it was leaked, and everybody was so surprised.
*cough* Sev...look what you did.
I think the lighting is what makes the graphics so good in Team Ico games.
So long as it's fun and exciting, then let it be for noobs. I don't have the time to adjust to slow controls and leveling up classes and such. Sometimes I just like to jump into my games, play, and have fun. Instant gratification, what's wrong with that? After I beat KZ2 on hard, it felt like a burden to go back and play it;environments are drab, heavy controls... COD4 is more accessible (noobish as you like to put it) in this way.
A game doesn't have to be hard or realistic to be fun (Uncharted).
Killzone 2 was boring and slow (Yeah I said it, sue me). MW2 will be twice as exciting and way more cinematic. I also love its strictly realistic art direction, does it better than any other game set in the present.
I think the excitement is largely based off of the develepor's previous 2 games, which myself and others consider masterpieces. Already we can see through the distinct art direction and beautiful scenery, unique gameplay mechanics, and the raw emotion of each scene where the creature is with the boy that this is going to be another classic Team Ico game. And the part about dialogue, well you'll be surprised how well their games work with so little of it.
So for clarification, which is The Last Guardian, the boy or the creature?
Whoa, you're counting?
They're being treated as 2 titles in terms of trophies, which means a set of trophies for each game. So for those trophy whores, you'll be able to get 2 platinum trophies (one for each game) for the price of $40.
I would love the demo, but I don't have a use for the collection as I own and have beaten both games countless times. At this point, I'd rather spend my money on games I haven't played. I'll just wait for the proper demo I guess, if there is one.
Does anyone know who is making the music for this one? I know it's only one tune and it sounds fine, but it already doesn't sound as deep as SotC's amazing soundtrack.
I want more hardcore modes in this one. I don't know about you guys, but Hardcore is all I play from COD4. It involves a little more strategy because bullets do more damage and you can't just leave yourself out in the open. The only problem was there weren't enough game modes for it. There were only 3: TDM, S&D, and then Headquarters was added afterward. More Hardcore modes please!
There's no universal game of the year in the gaming industry (films have Oscars with Best Picture), so every site's GOTY will vary. I'm sure MW2 will be "nominated" by every site though.
