Remember, when comparing realism in console graphics, it is illegal and morally wrong to leave out Killzone 2 :)
As for the article itself, he's not even speaking in terms of graphics, but how the cars themselves will handle. He says that it's hard to find a balance between realism and ease of driving. For GT5, they're leaning more towards realism.
I haven't been in a beta since my early days in the frantic skies of Warhawk! I hope it's exciting!
Who's bashing it? I'm enjoying the mp (but no hardcore hq?), sp had some great moments, but i've yet to touch spec-ops. maybe i don't understand, but it seems like matchmaking would be a reasonable feature to include for all their online modes...guess not then
You made a good point up there because if the scene was so important to the development of the story, why were we able to just skip over it? If it was THAT relevant then skipping it would take away a lot from the story and the overall feeling.I think it's there to stir controversy more than it is being a vital gameplay feature or story progression. There's nothing wrong with the scene being in the game, it was just poorly-implemented is all.
I disagree that every part of the gam...
What if someone on your list is playing another game or just doesn't feel like playing Spec-Ops? Wouldn't it be convenient to automatically find someone who is also trying to play a co-op game? You know, instead of constantly bugging people to play with you at any given time.
Details are scarce. Play their first two games, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. If you like them, you'll understand the excitement for this one.
Also, which parts look disturbing to you? I've never heard anyone describe it like that.
It's actually Wal-Mart and Sam's Club that choose not to participate in the NPD survey. So NPD have to use educated estimates to track those stores. So they DO include them in the monthly sales but the numbers are not direct from the source, but are estimates.

If one were to bring one of those delicious PS3s around my neighborhood, I would contemplate burglarizing his house for the item, then proceed to sell it for profit. Upon success, my cohorts and I would be paid handsomely.
@first two-- jeez stop being so serious, lolol
Well since those who have an early copy are the minority, technically there will be much more people who are just beginning from an even playing field come Tuesday. So the chances of running into a leveled-up player will become pretty slim as they get over-flooded with the millions who purchase from day one.
What else can go wrong with this company's public relations?
I doubt it, looks so boring
We're allowed to buy both this and MW2 right? Yeah just checking. :)
how did you even notice that? :)
It really should come with a copy of that song to make up for its hideousness.
@above
I think they try to squeeze every last bit of selling power it might have before it goes platinum. Maybe they were selling steadier here in the US.
but what's up with the stupid yellow?
They updated their engine with texture streaming, if I'm not mistaken, to allow for larger environments while also increasing the detail of the characters and immediate vicinity. They also improved on destructile environments.
But while I personally do see an improvement in graphics, I agree with many that it's not on the level of Naughty God from Uncharted 1 to 2. But then again, what is?
For a sequel, it makes more sense to simply improve aspects of your engine, since it's already up and running, and focus on gameplay, features etc... Maybe if your engine was atrocious and poorly programmed, but the COD4 engine ran pretty well on both systems. For 2007 that was a big thing for us PS3 owners if I remember correctly.
"Much like we don’t let ourselves get distracted by hype, if you have excess you feel like you should use excess,” he said.
“So we said ‘let us design a game the way we’d always design a game. And let us focus on that.’ So we didn’t let the budget affect our mentality. We would only put stuff in the game that is right for the game, and not because we can.”

That's an amazing deal! Quantities will definitely be limited though.
