Well this is about EA stopping competition by securing an exclusive deal from the NFL/NCAA. Can you think of any other examples of a one company giving another money for exclusive rights to its product? Outside of sports I cant really name an example of this happening so I doubt it will lead to anything else other than maybe an end to exclusive rights
LOL. On ruining the immersion.. Mine gets ruined every time it switches from gameplay to cutscene, etc. I dont see you complaining about that though. If it is not a Sony device then it isnt exclusive. Exclusive means exclusively on a certain platform and not on any other. When you have games showing up on multiple platforms they are not exclusive. Madden is not exclusive even though its made by EA because it shows up on many platforms.
If I can own a samsung phone and play sone games without needing a Sony device to do so, then those games are not exclusive.

I'm not sure what the issue is since every console launches with modern parts, modern architecture. It's not like PS3 launched in 2006 with parts from 2007. It launched with parts from 2004-2005 at best.
