There are different reasons people play games now. It isn't always about challenge anymore, it's about experiencing the game world and story. I have every system going back to NES. I have well over a thousand, maybe closer to 1500 games. I can't possibly beat them all if they are Ninja Gaiden tough or something. I know you will belittle me or say maybe I need to own less games or its all lame excuses etc etc. I'm 44. I have poured countless thousands of dollars of money into t...
Never has multiple machines during any hardware generation has the graphical abilities been identical. Someone is going to be lesser. Having said that, we then look at how developers handle it. We know the XB1 is weaker, but this video shows that developers are finding ways to make that gap near negligible. I own both systems, but my friend of 39 years - yes I'm 44, who also owns both systems got the XB1 version. He asked me to get it as well so we can play the campaign together and thank...
Thank you. I just love video games and just wish every one could just PURELY love all systems and what they bring to the gaming world. I have some good memories even with the Atari Jaguar, mostly in the form of hilarity, but even it had a couple gems. This bashing and hate filled talk about another system is truly sad. XB1 trash? Really. Sad. If you can't afford all systems, I understand that. But find a friend and hang at their place and enjoy the great games you can't own yourself. ...
Here's a point I wrote to the report that PS4 outsold the XB1, however, I believe it fits here equally if not almost more. Let's hope Xbox as a system is not going anywhere!
Congratulations PS4. I own both, as well as Wii U and older systems, but since it seems most see the battle as only XB1 vs PS4 I will only comment as if those 2 are the only systems to exist.
Now having said my congratulations, I want to say keep fighting XB1!! I love you even a bit more.....

Now having said my congratulations, I want to say keep fighting XB1!! I love you even a bit more...though with Ratchet coming soon...ugh - LOL. I stil think you are an excellent system. I appreciate the games you bring (talking console here i.e., leaving PCout of this) that can't be found on...
That is why releasing this year is so important. It means XB1/PS4 have only been out for 3 years. Neither of those companies will hit until 2018 at the earliest, but likely 2019. If Nintendo has at least XB1 power and has up to a 4 year window and is crazy easy to port. It may very well be a success. Especially if it somehow seemlessly integrates with their new handheld.
If they waited until next year and DIDNT make their machine a powerhouse then yes there would be trouble. Imagine ...
@rainslacker -
I thank you for your response, but I have to wonder if you read my post or skimmed it.
I have already upgraded my internal Hard Drive to my PS4. I stated that even at 2 Tb I still feel the need to ration my Hard Drive space for PS4 exclusives. I already mention that the PS4 allows for an external, but only to move an install from the internal to the external so I can have space to install my new game.
I understand that I am something of...
I think this is perfect. If there is a legitimate way to 'earn' items in game. I say legitimate because let's say you have to play a million hours, that not legitimate. It the 'earn' method is moderately reasonable, but there is also a pay method and people choose to pay...more power to them. I think every company should offer both and it looks like plenty will still pay and everyone can be happy.
No you have plenty of immature adults arguing their system is superior.
I'm still fascinated that this doesn't spur more discussion. I got 13 disagrees to only 2 agrees, yet only one person's says anything. I'm not looking for an argument. I'm looking for an alternate way to overcome this.
@Pongwater - I wasn't only talking 'bored' with a game. I mean I like being able to instantly play whatever game, whenever I want to. I am in no way, shape or form interested in uninstalling and reinstalling games over and over. I want to be able to hop from game to game whenever I feel like it. Sony needs to address this.
I wish people would comment on what I'm about to say. Graphics are nice and yes I would say most of us would like what looks best, however, there is a point or problem I keep bringing up that almost no one comments on. PC people need not apply here.
My 3rd party system of choice is the XB1 over the PS4 for a VERY pragmatic reason...hard drive space.
I want to preface this with a couple things. I am 44 and own all systems back to then SNES. My first home console was Atari...

I'm not getting into it until one gets it right and/ or rises to the top. There are WAY too many in the market. Morpheus has the upper hand with the success of the PS4, but the Vive sounds more impressive in terms of true VR immersion and being able to walk a bit and interact...something the Rift is struggling with I think.
Thank you. I do sincerely mean them. I'm 44 and been gaming longer than most posting here. I just want to have fun. Yes talking systems and spects is cool, but not if you hate gamers, games and systems in the process. What's that all about.
So if you are honestly wishing the game well your trolling. If you only acknowledge the XB1's shortcomings you are ok. I believe my post was fair. I believe XB1 games can and are beautiful. I acknowledged the almighty superiority of the PS4. However, it has its own struggles at times too. I watched Digital Fiundry's dissection awe inspiring because it showcased how hard and clever 343 gave to Halo 5. I tried to impress upon how there was much growth last gen and there will be with thi...
I agree. Uncharted 4 could have opted to do as 343 did, but I agree for a FPS 60 FPS is definitely desired. I can't wait for Uncharted 4! I'm kinda glad Rise of the Tomb Raider and Uncharted 4 had this year apart. I love'em both and this gives me time to indulge each without having to shelve one until I finished the other!!
I believe it was Digital Foundry that dissected how Halo 5 achieved its rock solid 60fps. If that is the Hopy Grail, as someone bemoaned how Uncharted 4 has decided to not go the 60fps route, it should be applauded that the much maligned 'underpowered' XB1 next to the PS4 remotely is able to achieve this. I think what 343 did was nothing short of amazing. The 360/PS3 were out 8 and 7 years respectively before their successor arrived. Developers had enough time to squeeze out just abou...
Like I've said, more tricks may be needed to coax the ole XB1 to greatnes, but studios are doing it and Remedy has proven to be unorthodox and still ROCKS!! I have no fear XB1 Quantum Break will be awesome, yes the PC version will be awesomer, but I don't care. XB1 is the 1 I will be getting!!! Loved what was done with Tom Clancy The Division to make it rock as well as the mighty PS4! Thank you developers!!
Btw, I own both but pull for the underdog because I want competition!!...
