If it truly runs on Pacal Tegra it should be easily able to compete graphically with XB1/PS4. This is nvidia's newest baby so it may have other surrounding tricks up its sleeve to further beef up performance beyond just 'teraflops'. With that said, the last thing I can't seem to wrap my head around and sounds awful to me are these detachable controllers. I may just suck, most definitely, but this game is crazy difficult. I pop it in just because it's gorgeous, but 90% of the time I'm slamming walls.
I don't care the lead the Wii U time was on PS4, it's remarkable the Wii U is still leading in sales!! And with Japan putting out a Splatoon bundle I read sales jumped 3 times that of the previous week. When the PS4 is close to 42 million in sales and it has yet to hit 3 mil in its native land and the 13 million selling system the Wii U is still beating it!! WOW!! It's going to be several more months before PS4 over takes it!!
There's always the initial push back, but I do believe people will get on board. I wish it was more 4 years in its iteration, but no less than 3. Sony may very well switch to 4 as the Scorpio will be 4, their hand may very well have been pushed because VR.
I think going forward they should handle this different in one way, do like PCs. Have their initial console and it's name, then mid cycle do 2 things. If someone hasn't adopted the initial console, offer the new console...

I'm not saying they don't have content!! I don't know what the NX is!! I'm sure they have plenty, but also we know Nintendo is not afraid to delay games if it's not right. I'm not disagreeing with this, but Microsoft WILL follow Sony's pricing with NEO. It will not cost more if they have to take a loss.

I largely agree. MS needs to figure out VR and then GAMES GAMES GAMES! My good Lord above, GAMES!! If MS is serious about video games, they need to stop jerking around and invest substantially in GAMES!!! Buy some development houses, look for cherished and desired franchises that are being ignored and resurrect them!!! They need to be on FIRE for GAMES!!
I was thinking the same thing - strike while the iron is hot, however, if no content or very little then not likely a good idea. I think they did that with N64, only Mario 64 and Pilotwings 64 if I remember correctly and that was it for a while too. As tempting as it might be, they must not be anywhere near ready.
It was ok to report its artronomical rise and the like because it did some noteworthy firsts, but yes as quickly as things fluctuate it's reporting is a chasing of the wind sort of thing.
That's kinda where I would have waited. Let it boil on it home turf a day or two and THEN sell if a quick profit is your only goal. That's just me of course.

Yes, this will not continue on at this torrid pace. How do they intend to keep people interested once winter sets in. However, I do think it's going to make serious money for the next 6 months at least. Nintendo needs to desperately to find a way to tie in the 3DS releases and other Nintendo related items and IPs if they can. This is only a plus for Nintendo.
I think this guys a moron. There is no guarantee in Sony's fiscal position overall that dropping the likely small amount needed for such old games would suddenly be reallocated to beef up PS4 or upcoming VR releases. I love getting my free games over 3 systems thank you. Some good, some not so good...at least I got to try something I never would have before.
