I don't think Sony will worry much. PS2 was the weakest. PS3 took 2 plus years for developers to overcome some frame rate issues and even in the end there was never a HUGE gap. PS4 and Xbox One fuel a technical debate really for 2 reasons of course - resolution and frame rate. Neither machine seemlessly did 1080p/60fps. Sony's did much closer, but many titles opted for 30fps and even a couple went 900p. XB1 was even more troubled to do this. These issues created major headaches for pe...

If they started selling Xbox Ones for $129 or 149 - definitely at $99, and this hit at $399. The two have a chance to coexist. I know that likely will never happen.

I have the Xbox One. Xbox Original to 360 - 4 years. Sega Saturn to Dreamcast (in US) - 4 and a half years. This is not completely unheard of. But they aren't calling it the subsequent machine because they tell us, like Sony is expecting to, we get forward and backward compatibility. Enough of that!!
This machine sounds beast. Microsoft threw the gloves off!! Holy crap!! Peace out yo!!

It doesn't really bother me because FPS by their very nature have borrowed from the original Wolfenstein, but the grapple hook thingy that pulls people in and then you can punch, kick or shoot them reminded me of Bulletstorm right away. But as I said, that's ok. I love COD. I have NEVER been a COD hater. This looks really cool.

Why does it seem like people are so quick to bash something these days? I am not sure what to make of this teaser/trailer. Shouldn't we reserve judgement until we actually play the game? Now if you are truly only judging the trailers worth and not damning the game before it hits, fine. But like COD and Assassin's Creed they have become the whipping boys of the industry. Now I love most every thing from both those franchise's, but having said that yearly installments is creating a ...

I'm 44 and been there through every iteration since Atari 2600. Regardless of how incredibly long the Xbox 360/PS3 had been out, I wasn't really chomping at the bit for a new generation. Then for good reason, I was not terribly blown away by Xbox One or PS4. I own them both, but I'm no more taken by them than my Wii U - but to be fair I'm a Nintendo man at heart. Still it was a poor offering by both companies. However, I do believe beyond a shadow of doubt, what many of you kn...

Now all those PS4 fanboys who cried that 3rd party games were better and they just wanted the better product will change their tune. Now it will suddenly be all about exclusives or something. Will it be suddenly OK to bash Sony's games if the new Xbox is really more powerful? Lol. We will see.
I own everything. Wii U, XB1, and PS4...as well as all last gen. I even owned all handhelds from DS to Vita. I love them all, but was incredibly disgusted at the fanboyism and vitriol XB1 ...

I love them both! The XB1 gets more attention use wise. Ratchet will ratchet up the use of my PS4 though!!

Give me Ratchet and Clank 'Any Style'!!! PS2, PS3, PS4, PSP, PSVita, my smartphone, heck my old flip phone I bought a Rachet platformer of sorts! 30 FPS, 60 FPS, locked, unlocked...just let me into that awesome world!!! Here's a presense my beautiful XB1 lacks, come to think of it pretty much the 360 too!! Nintendo has their GLORIOUS character driven games, this series will always make me buy the Sony machine. Let me add Jak and Daxter in Sony machines past, the 1st one still my f...

YOU NAILED IT!!! You remember as I do how Microsift at lauch was raked over the coals for such thinking. Short memories for some! Sony jumped on that like a goose on a June bug! Give us choice! Nintendo on both 3DS and Wii U started a 'window' to buy physical and then once that died offered only digital. That's more likely a possibility in the immediate future.

You are right. If I have no choice, but that would suck. I like buying used. I like freely moving from machine to friends machine or my sons machine and so forth. Why do you think there was such a big brouhaha at the XB1 release when the idea of discs being locked or whatever it was. Sony jumped on it, now you want to go Microsoft's way. They were chastised to the moon and back!! Whatever. Digital is the future regardless, but I don't like it. In music, I don't like losing CDs. It...

For me it's all about the limit to PS4's hard drive...or it was. They supposedly upped it from 2tb to 4tb recently. But still, XB1 has the smoother and nicer solution. Add an external and poof you got an instant extension of HD space. Still, if I pay $60, I buy disc!!! If they have a tremendous deal, games around $10 or under I might buy digital, but even only then if it's a fringe game. If it's one I know is special, DISC all the way.

Yeah, I own Wii U, XB1, PS4 now. I am giving Nintendo a pass. Wii U didn't sell. I will get get their new machine. A 4 year gap isn't unheard of, but the other two I am a bit irritated. It better not overwhelmingly change the games themselves. I have an UHDTV, but it's not high end at all. I can't afford 3 new systems. Good grief!! Yet I'm one of those who REALLY like to have every system so I can pick and choose what I buy, plus rent to at least experience a game...UGH! T...

I'm sorry, but this article didn't say much at all. Things that every average to hardcore gamer knows, developers and publishers know and Nintendo knows. Who did I leave out? I also am a diehard fan. Eonjay was exactly right.

They aren't forgotten by the Nintendo diehards. Go to any Facebook Nintendo group and when someone asks, 'Got a Wii U what games should I get?' These 2 games are absolutely included amongst a truckload of other excellent exclusives. What is tragic is that gamers as a whole overlooked the amazing diamond in the rough that is the Wii U. It is criminal, but people are stupid.
People are always complaining of copy cats and sequels, but there is a whole world of unique gaming ...

People always complaining that COD is the same thing every year. They complain of sequels. A developer is damned if they do, damned if they don't. Remedy tries to think outside the box in many aspects with it's new game and because it maybe didn't pan out perfectly, it is getting slammed. I am not suggesting it get a pass if it's no good, but yet I think some people are holding it to a near impossible standard. I think it's awesome. I felt very similarly with The Order on ...

I think it looks great! I loved 'The Order' in spite of so many people's whining about it. Games are meant to run the full spectrum of possibilities. If this one leans more to story and cut scenes so be it, I know that going in. I'll be getting 'Quantum Break' VERY soon!

2 things are evident from this discussion, 1 many games have crap endings. 2 it would appear many of you would like a great ending. So how do most of you feel, do you wish developers would make great endings?

I wrote very many of these same things in my post. Sorry I don't see yours. I agree completely!

Also it doesn't help to follow the greatest generation hardware-wise ever. It REALLY is staggering XBox 360/PS3 held the stage for 8 and 7 years AND they are still going. Most people hop back and worth seamlessly with no wincing. Last gen games are still amazing. They spoiled us. They really did. I own all consoles from WiiU/XB1/PS4 back to NES. The jump from 2D to the polygon/3D world was huge, but for different reasons - the shift in gaming possibilities. If you think about it, in many ...
