Okay, say you are right about that, why wasn't this mentioned? I don't care that it is 8 and not 10, but I care when there is no explanation of why the score doesn't match the explanation.
An 8 without any criticism doesn't tell me anything, so I gain nothing from reading the review.
@badz
Hasn't the main weapon of the castlevania series always been some kind of whip or chain? I've never really played the series but t...
Optical drive wouldn't reduce battery life if we could do a game install. Would only need the optical drive for verification at that point.
Yeah, our government is so smart. "Oh, you're a failing business? Here, have a boatload of money! And don't worry about paying it back."
Wonderful.
Uhh, the PSP sold for 200$ when it launched in Japan.

In the US it was 250, only Canada got shafted for 300, most likely because of dollar difference. Although they like to fuck us even when the dollar difference is low.
What a half assed review:
Lasting Appeal
This is a giantic game with lots of replay value. 8
Oookay so there's apparently nothing wrong with its lasting appeal, so why isn't it a 10? No explanation given at all, lazy.
"nor does Lords of Shadow star any familiar characters or include recognizable music. "
I've read multiple reviews saying that some of the music is from the older games.

No kidding, enough with this self-proclaimed bullshit, no one cares about this guy.
No kidding. They had like 3 different scenes attempting to show how the game was broken, but to me it looked like the guy playing was an absolute moron. Along the lines an FPS player walking into a wall and saying "look how bad the camera is!"
Far more excited for Castlevania, especially after watching that 11minute release trailer. Not to mention with Kojima behind it, I can't imagine this game being a poor experience.
I lol'd
Nice one :)
I was a fan of outlaw in the 2nd game, had a sweet special attack.
Funny and very sad at the same time.
Do we really need an article about every little thing Kotick says?
We already know the guy is a douchebag and full of shit, we don't need more articles to prove it.
I've fixed your post, the reasons actually are:
- You've never played Duke Nukem before.
- You've never played Duke Nukem before.
- You've never played Duke Nukem before.
Also, being a girl might have something to do with it.
The author forgets that PS3's cell gives it a much larger edge. There's a dutch interview (subtitled though) with Guerilla games about KZ2, talking about how they use the cell processor to help render the scene:

A really interesting interview, but if you don't feel like watching the whole thing, the p...
I love how you claim fail logic when you have little of your own.
Someone comes up with a valid argument, and your defense is to list a bunch of professions. When someone calls you on it you list the only example you have that could be interpreted as either a profession or an activity. Good job defending your argument.
Baka is completely right. You don't classify people who watch TV, or read books, etc. I don't label myself as anything because I don&...
Article made sense, but the title did not match the article. Bit of a sensationalist title if you ask me.
I had the exact same disappointment in the campaign. The characters were uninteresting and I just didn't care about them. I'm not a big fan of the Halo universe, but some personal character interaction would have made it much more enjoyable for me. The first Halo did a decent job of that with Cortana and the Chief, even if there wasn't much character developme...
Japanese should stick to making Japanese games, in most cases when they ignore this advice, they meet with complete failure. As a westerner, I like Japanese games and I like Western games. I don't need the Japanese to appeal to my "western" tastes. But I guess I'm in a minority when it comes to Japanese games, so they want to broaden their market, to be like Metal Gear and Resident Evil. Clearly it isn't working.
Using it now but I haven't really found a lot of stuff there.. I'm sure more will be available over time but I don't know if I want to pay 8$ for this just yet.
Couldn't agree more with you guys. Like I understand how some people don't like the game but to call it mediocre is just being blind.
The great thing was, if the mechanics didn't work like you wanted them to there was always mods you could use, or you could easily modify it yourself. I adjusted how much energy the abilities used and how much damage the weapons dealt and made it really enjoyable for myself.
I'm actually playing through Lost Odyssey right now, love this game. And I love that it follows the old turn based formula, however they've made quite a few enhancements to it that separates it from previous games.
