I have by far logged more hours on Driveclub than any other game this generation with the possible exception of Destiny. The game is amazing!
Simple, new IP's!
I've seen everything from 9/10 to 4/10. That's pretty polarizing if you ask me.
Looks like a very polarizing game as review scores are all over the place. These scores remind me of the way Beyond: Two Souls was received with similar criticisms.
I really wanted The Order to be well received critically but begrudgingly I can't argue with IGN's points. Oh well, I'll just save my money for next month when Bloodborne and MLB The Show 2015 come out.
It means don't expect a PS4 price cut anytime soon.
I love how Xbox fans are still chasing parody with the PS4 and they'll convince themselves of anything that might put the X1 on equal ground with the PS4.
The reality is, no matter how much optimization the X1 has, it doesn't change anything in terms of hardware and the X1 will NEVER be comparable in performance with the PS4.
Thats a better score than I expected. Hopefully most other reviewers will feel the same way about the game.
Glad to see the PS4 doing so well. I hope Sony can turn their financial woes around. They're too good a company not to.
I suppose if you want an apps machine then yeah.
@porkCHop,
You mean like so many open world games that pad it's length with pointless side quests?
Jesus doesn't the X1 have enough apps already??
LOL you're certainly entitled to your opinion. Wrong as it is, you're entitled to it.
Lol what has Sony given gamers?
1.) Superior hardware
2.) better in-house developers
3.) better/more exclusives
4.) Shareplay
5.) Remote play through Vita, Android devices
6.) free monthly games through Plus
7.) Game streaming through PS Now
8.) A better, more intuitive UI
9.) Faster downloading/updating
10.). More robust indie game selection
11.). Custom soundtracks through USB and soon throug...
Daaaaaaaaaaamn!!!!!
Lennox,
I have both systems and while I appreciate the TV integration with the X1, it's the PS4 that I feel is the more "forward thinking" console. Aside from the superior hardware design, the PS4 has features like Shareplay, Remote Play, PS Now, etc that I think make the PS4 a much more "forward thinking" console in the area where it counts the most which is gaming. Even the controller has more "forward thinking" features like built in m...
Admit it, without Halo and Forza MS would be such a non factor in this industry. Of the 3 consoles providers, MS is the one player that would be missed the least if they went away tomorrow.
It's order of diminishing returns. In terms of what the human eye can discern, the jump from 480 to 720/1020 is much larger than from 1080 to 4K. It's already been stated by virtually every AV expert that to even begin to notice the difference with 4K you need at least a 70 inch display at a viewing distance of no further than about 6 feet. Very few people have that kind of set up.
Besides if anyone cares that much about resolution they might as well wait. 8K disp...
The current 1080p OLED LG TV's shit all over any 4K display currently available, FACT! Resolution is only a small part of what goes into making a great TV.
I can honestly say that this is the first game I've ever seen that truly looks like playable CGI.
I'll tell you what it looks like, not as good as Driveclub that's what.
