I use the UI on my tablet and boot to desktop on my Desktop & laptop. Nice having the choice
make sure you upgrade to 8.1 and it looks just like 7, if boot to desktop. You never need to see the start screen or apps.

Isn't what you have said the same thing?, I wish they would add the DRM back and digital game sharing. All this having put disks in the system is so yesterday. I want the digital age, with digital game sharing, loaning and reselling.

I think you are confused, at E3 all they talked about was games. You are thinking about the reveal event prior to E3, which they spent most of the time talking about TV integration and apps etc.
I didn't think they messed up, I wish they would bring back the DRM for those that want to use it, Install my game and never need the disk again would suit me. I would also like to be able to re-sell digital games or loan to a friend for a period of time, once the loan period I specify expires or I un-loan the game, it's mine to play again.

Big plus with games with gold, is that they are yours forever, even if no long subscribe to gold

I don't have a problem with sub 1080, my son has been playing titanfall and it looks fantastic. So if all games look and play similar to that I'm happy to buy them for him.

Me 920, and as an app developer i have all types. But WP8 is the one i use on a daily basis for work and personal use.
I have that problem, it's the only one I have to raise my voice with. But I like doing it as my TV and AV receiver both power on with the Xbox.

I love my surface, it just works, you don't need any apps for normal business use, all are pre-installed. Any apps that I need for TV viewing etc are in the store. Since the 8.1 update they are even better.
