I don't think that could ever happen. It takes a lot of money to keep MMO servers up to date. The only reason they probably wouldn't mind not charging a fee is when th game isn't really that popular.

Well i think that the pirates didn't cost them diddly. Why? because i think that the people who have pirated games would have never bought them in the first place. It's like when Bethesda released Fallout 3 with ALL of the DLC for it, for free. They already knew that every one who was going to buy it had.

i think it hasn't sold over a million because, whether or not people believe it's an RPG, the setting and the complexity of the whole overarching storyline doesn't appeal to the generic gamer like God of war does.
Also, God of war isn't a hardcore game. Mass Effect is. And hardcore games sell less.
