Buying Fable 3 when DA2 and The Witcher 2 are coming out would be like buying Test Drive Unlimited 2 to get your Rally game fix while waiting for Dirt 3.....there is just no point.

I think you'll find that back in the day developers didn't rush console games ou the gate full of bugs because they COULDN'T patch them.
I'm sure there were games with bugs but no where near as many as now and definitely not games that don't even work on launch day without a patch.

The demo was awesome on PC.
Streamlined does not mean simplified. The combat was waaaaaaay better than DA. The A.I wouldn't disengage from pre selected attacks when an enemy entered their 'threat' range unlike in DA where they would do just that.
The HUD and skill selection etc was definitely that of a PC game. It's not like you had to toggle through the abilities FFS.

You have the wrong idea about crysis 2 then.
Crysis has always been primarily a single player game. Crysis 2 is no different. If the MP is good, that's a bonus. But buy it for the SP.
I payed good money for a 1080p TV. I don't want to desecrate it with 10 year old non native resolutions.
It is also capable of 60frames vsynced, I don't see why you would waste half your TV's potential in that regard either.
Given how many console gamers seem to want "5.1 headphones!" etc. I imagine most of you are gaming on SDTV's.

That is not a bug, that is a godsend. I use 4gbpatch on all my 32bit games to allow them to access more than 2gb of ram and for some reason patching the exe like that in Fallout 3 etc makes GFWL go away for good :D
I HATE digital distribution and buy all my games retail. Buy I think I am going to buy this one from GoG because 100% of the profit goes straight in Cd Projects pocket as they own the DD service.
If The Witcher; a debut game from a brand new developer with a very small budget, can make the best RPG I've played and make much bigger budget game like Dragon Age from a large established RPG heavyweight like Bioware....look like a second rate POS.

All that Dead Space 2 DLC they sold everyone was on the disk for every single platform. If you copy a friends game save from DS2 and play it on your console. All the DLC is magically there even though the DLC files are supposedly not.

I agree, they said the same thing about BFBC2.
The 'DX11 soft shadows!!!!!' were worse than the shadows in many DX10 games.
Besides some really nice dust effects and realistic bloom...it didn't have much going for it.

The performance was bad in DX11 for me to with an overclocked gtx480..it's not because of the games visual tax, it;s just because of poor optiimisation/bugs in the demo.
If you have a gtx260/gtx285 you will be able to play the full game maxed in DX10 ( the high setting ) easily when the full game releases.
Just don't set it to high in the demo as it runs under DX11 ( even though it's really DX10 ) and it makes performance and stability bad, medium...
**DEMO** PERFORMANCE. As DX11 was bugged I ran it in maxed dx9 @1080p with 32csaa. It NEVER dipped below 60 frames, not even to 59 frames.
It ran and looked better than Dragon Age by far.
The demo also did not officially support SLI. You could force it but it is extremely unoptimised. With the full game and a driver update....their performance would go from 40 min maxed to 60 min.
The demo works fine in DX9, there is a dx11 bug, bioware has advised to use dx9 only.

That's awesome. I just finished the game tonight. I think it does a lot for the FPS genre. The scope of the game is massive. Sure the paths are linear but god damn the draw distances and the amount of stuff going on is bigger than any game I've played.
Gorgeous graphics too. Awesome job all round.
