What gamers want are well games. Top of the line games to play on their console.
Heck if given the choice between cross game play or a new Warhawk or Legend of Dragon PS fans would 100% pick the latter.
Heck PS fans would even pick BC for PS3 on PS4 over cross game play.

Just because a game came before another does not mean it should always be cheaper. Perhaps its more expensive to remaster a Vita game to PS4 or that there is more demand for it than GR2.
