The base is games and exclusive games in particular is what puts the console over the top. It is the main reason why Sony has been so dominant since they started in gaming.

As such its much easier to create content for netflix as oppose to say a netflix for gaming service
Reason why PS Now is working for now is because Sony already has a huge backlog of PS games they can rely on but even then its not enough to make it go big like Netflix....

Well it helps a lot no doubt. Many many highly rated games have really good graphics as well which helps with the games atmosphere.
Gameplay obviously is more important but graphics like story and sound and other aspects of the game are also very important
If they stay true to SP and not forced online experiences with most of the games they are making I don't see any reason why I would not buy the next xbox. Its that simple for me. Bring the SP exclusives and I will be there.
Its tough between the PS3 and PS2 imo.

That is because in the end Xbox still had more games than Nintendo consoles you mentioned courtesy of 3rd party games that were available on the xbox, xbox1 that were not on the Wii U and game cube.
