They really need to work on their communication because it is absolutely atrocious.
I think it will do well on the X1. With Tomb Raider it is predominately an action adventure. Those type of games generally do not do well on the xbox but a game like QB should do better.
Not having an MP is interesting though as games with MP's generally sell more on the xbox.
It will be interesting at least to see how it will fare sales wise after MS new shift in direction.
On one side I am sure QB will be highly rated and perhaps as i...
It is very simple but quite far from boring.
How is it boring if I can't stop playing Bloodbourne on it?.
@Anubuis
No one is saying it is a useless feature. It is however is not that important of a feature.
The only time I went back to play PS2 games on my PS3 was to replay games like GOW1&2 before playing GOW3 or MGS123 before MGS4.
It is a nice feature but I am sure most PS fans like myself found out last gen that its a feature you would generally use once or twice.
I still see people equating PS Now to BC
For the last time
PS Now = Game Streaming which allows you to play a game without having to own a copy
BC = Backward compatibility allows you to play games you already own a copy on your current gen machine.
Two very different things.
lol!.
The spinning and denial is strong with you folks
1. PS3 (home console) != PS Vita (Mobile). The versions for both games would be drastically different from controls to graphics. You would pick the Vita version if you want to be on the go and PS3 if you want to sit infront of your TV.
Very big difference from X1 and PC which are home gaming devices that literally is the same version of the game meant to be played at home and not on the g...
If there are no exclusives then there is no point in having multi-platforms.
Do you people want a single console generation?.
eh!. Lets just all agree that the PS + PC combo is now the best combo ever and leave it at that.
Blizzard rules.
It will be interesting how all of this will pan out from the devs perspective as well.
With MS trying to turn consoles into PC's. Would this mean the games will not be fully optimized for the hardware like with current PC games?.
If so then even upgrading the console hardware might not actually see significantly better results on upgraded consoles compare to static spec consoles with better optimisation.
Then ofcourse 3rd party devs. W...
I believe they will still push the xbox but not to the extent they did before.
Exclusives and marketing deals was how they use to push the xbox the big one being exclusives. Now that there are none it is obvious that they are just going to sell the xbox as a device to play games tied to their new gaming ecosystem.
However xbox is no longer centerpiece of their gaming.
1. I told you guys so after QB news but you guys brushed it off.
2. The xbox console will still sell to masses that don't want anything to do with PC gaming.
3. However xbox console sales power will be diluted by the mere fact you have the option of playing the games on another platform and such will suffer even further against the PS4 console marketshare wise.
4. This effectively will leave only Sony as the standard bearer of core (trad...
Agree. I am sure they have.
I think that if they go for the updated module they will try and make is as simple as slotting in a new module where even a 5 year old can do themselves.
In a sense a hybrid platform that is sort of simple to use like consoles but upgradable like the PC.
However because these parts will not be off the shelf computer parts that are mass produced and sold in every electronics store they will cost more.
...
Its hard to imagine them adding anything new to the game in that space of time.
It could very well be Sony botched the printing and are really behind schedule. It could happen.
Imagine them releasing and only having say a million copies printed. It would be really bad for them. Much worse than a 2 weeks delay.
Two different things.
Smartphones/mobile devices are a part of most peoples daily lives now days.
Not so the case with console gaming.
You don't see the majority of people carrying their consoles let alone using their consoles every time like they do their mobile devices.
If MS are approaching this as similar to the mobile market then they will be in a world of trouble.
The reason why console gaming has sustained and expanded is because of
1. Ease of use/simplicity.
2. Convenience.
3. Price.
Basically the opposite of PC gaming.
As such this move by MS to turn the xbox into a low-mid gaming PC does not make any sense to me.
When a console gamer buys a console they know that they are good for another 5-10 years. No need to buy anything extra except games. No need to think of...
Sony is decimating them in the console space. They have to do something otherwise it might be the end of the xbox period.
lol! at people that want upgradable consoles.
We already have one. Its call a PC lol!.
The vast number of people that buy gaming consoles are people that buy them because it is simple and not like a PC.
With an upgrade-able xbox it would be better to just upgrade your PC as you can do more with your PC.
There is a reason why steam machine are not catching on. The PC crowd are not stupid and the console crowd are not flockin...
And still people doubt when I said MS are no longer going to compete in the traditional console gaming market.
I said this a thousand times after the QB to PC announcement and people still refuse to believe it.
It is the end of xbox console gaming as we know it.
MS knows after 3 attempts they can't really compete and dominate the console space so now they are trying to build a hybrid console/pc market for themselves where they can try...
MS bad press has no relevance whatsoever regarding me buying a PS4.
I bought a PS4 because of the PS brand that has consistently deliver
1. The most varied gaming experience on console
2. Provide the best exclusives on consoles
3. Best gaming support through out the generation.
I am pretty sure I am not in the minority on this.
However continue to believe what you want to believe.
