Sony will not go full streaming in the future. Even then it will be selected games at different release schedule like PSNow.

I can see Sony offering both like they do now but the priority would still be consoles as thats where the money is still and in the foreseeable future.

PS is global and Sony will understand better than most how important it is to still get a physical media based console.

The way I see it will be a 3 front strategy

It was the same crap the media did when leaks were out of the X1's DRM/policies. Everyone were saying Sony will follow suit and it is the end of console gaming as we know it.

What would help his case if MS buys a dev and make games for the x1 only.

Words are just words.

xbox console is not going to die. It's just going to change and be different from the PS. That's really it.

I guess it depends on the PC you have.

Say you have 40 plus studios then you cut say 8

Say you have 15 studios then you cut say 8

Also Sony cut those studios when they didn't really offer much and it was not just one time all of them were cut.

Not the same thing.

The thing is their success last gen was due to a couple of factors that were in their favor.

1. Sony launched the PS3 1 - 1 1/2 years late
2. PS3 being sold at 600 initially and very hard to dev for.
3. MS having the money to buy 3rd party deals/support

Fundamentally they were still not on a good platform coming into this gen as a result.

Their platform is

2. They have no...

No not yet. They are trying everything though. After last years removal of Kinteitc and cutting the price. Getting TR time exclusive to compete with U4, releasing Halo 5, 5 game bundle deals etc. Sony still massively outsold them.

After this no more reports on sales figures. They know the xbox can't survive for another 3 years especially with Sony now starting to get serious on wards from here.

So now they are tyring to do leverage on their PC platform t...

It does not change the fact that what I said is true.

1. MS never won a gen
2. Sony invest more in their talent unlike MS
3. Sony support their devs and games more equally than MS
4. Sony console always has the most variety.
5. MS only sells well to the US and UK market as it is seen as a predominantly a shooter heavy console.

Sony fan or not. These are true.

Here is the thing.

Without exclusives the xbox becomes less relevant. If the xbox becomes less relevant there will be less people buying it as many core gamers might opt for a PC to play every other PC games like Warcraft, Starcrft etc.

Less people buying xbox console means less support from 3rd party means less games and can lead to MS leaving the console altogether.

Its funny how fast xbox fans sh!t on these devs.

I can remember most of them put these studios on their list to compete with Sony first party list and were touting them.

Now its just MS trimming the fat lol!

After 3 gen MS still can't produce any good 1st party apart f4om Halo and Froza and MS can't compete with Sony in the rest of the world.

What happen with Bungie whom was 1st party?.

MS needs to change their attitudes on how to manage their 1st&2nd party like how Sony is handling theirs.

One can't just blame the devs considering the history of MS first party offerings.

Give the devs the space and creative freedom and for crying out loud support them. No freedom is why their best studio went as far as buying themselves out to get away from them

lol! only 30days?. What's next?. A fortnight?. It is absolutely pointless.

Either MS has bad luck with their studios (what little they have) and their games or the problem is MS themselves and the way they treat their studios.

Defend MS as much as you guys want but I can't think of any MS 1st party that has produce anything exceptional for the last couple of years. It can't be just the devs fault.

QB is looking like its going to be phenomenal but it is Remedy and 2nd party.

I feel like they are just being sneaky. They are purposely saying these things and field them to see how the public will react and if it negative they will go back on them.

Just trying to see what they can get away with and then back peddle when its not on.
