Here again is why people should really not listen to these so called game journalist.
If a dev tries something different (The Order, QB) they get panned for not following the same generic formula.
If a game like Gears is trying to remain true to what made it great they panned for playing it safe and not doing anything to change the whole game.

I do think you should wait a bit though. Its very possible that they are just showing the usual stuff so that many fans will not get scared of drastic changes off the bat.
I am sure they have some pretty cool new stuff they have not shown yet.

More exclusives = more console sales = bigger installbase = more support from 3rd parties = console domination != X1 = PS4.
Its not just identity.
It keeps a platform relevant.
Say every game is multi-plat on one particular console. What then is the point of owning that console?.
And if all consoles are able to play the exact same games. What is the point for the x1, PS4 and Wii-U to exist?. Why not just 1 console?.
The notion that exclusives are not important is so freaking stupid.
Say every game can be played on every consoles (no exclusives).

It was initially selling as fast as the PS3 at the start which was faster than the x360.
Then it slowed down and it was selling at the same rate as the x360.
It slowed down further and this is when MS started to stop reporting numbers.

Most of my friends I have seen play it panic and do stupid things like swing like a madman then they die easily.
With Bloodbourne though the atmosphere makes it worse for most as the sense of dread is worse than Demon Souls to be honest.

It's freaking annoying that devs are not going to do SP only games going forward as well as take risks because you lot want every freaking game to have MP and 100+ hrs of replay value with the same old boring formula.

The easy way to beat these games if you want the easy mode is to farm for souls/blood and upgrade your player stats.
There are many levels with many enemies that you can run through and collect souls/blood. Focus on the big ones with more souls/blood.
