Seriously. Has gaming journalism come to this?.
Man. People are so salty.
Good read. Interesting. Personally I never sell my console or games. Have them from the Atari days and I can't really let go of games or console I love as they are a big part of my childhood. In that sense I can identify. Then again its easy for me because I can afford it and I know its not the same for everyone.
Interesting as well your youth and identification with consoles specifically last gen. I guess with the rise of mp it really did create a sub culture and like ...
Sales matters.
I rike it.
1. I didn't even know about QB situation with WP.
2. Believe it or not I have been defending QB because it is actually a good game and has been attacked unfarily. Check my history if you don't believe me. I gave it an 8.5 out of 10.
If that is the case then it is fine. How anyone would score U4 a 4/10 though is still quite unbelievable but that is separate. So WP gave a score to Meta. They should have stated this and show on their actual review unless they are gutless to do so.
I am not sure if you guys are just ignorant or pretending to be ignorant.
This is not about the review itself or free speech. This is about ethics. This is about Meta giving a score for a review with no score which is highly unethical any way you put it.
When someone reviews and give a score they put their name to it which is the ethical thing to do. If you are going to be scathing and give a low score then you put your name to it. In this case the review...
Typical. Fans point out media/journalist mistakes (Meta assigning score for someone else review with no score) and instead of correcting them they band together and condemn fans as fanboys for asking for journalism integrity. Hilarious.
It has really proven how bad the state of journalism is now. Instead of addressing the actual issue which is Meta giving a score when there is no score. They instead try to cover each other asses by blaming fans that want fairness.
Never mind the review itself. The fact there was no score but Meta gave one instead his highly unprofessional.
Its not the review. Its the fact Meta gave a score when the review didn't have one.
It is amazing how stupid these journalist are.
The simple question is this.
Should a journalist mistake be corrected?. Don't these people learn this in Journalism 101?
If you made a mistake you correct it. The 4/10 is a mistake because that was not the score. Why?. Because there was no score.
How hard is it to understand this?.
In journalism when they make a mistake they correct it. The 4/10 score is a mistake because that was not the score. Why?, because there is no score. How on earth you people that are saying this is not an issue is beyond me.
Just shows how low you fanboys have gone.
If someone assigns Gears 4 a 4/10 that was not the score given I would call BS and they should correct that mistake.
I am not that low because it would be unfair on Coalit...
And you have no idea what you are talking about.
You and this so called journalist completely miss the point. Not surprise you would.
What I don't understand is why they (Meta) gave a 4/10 when the WP review didn't have a score.
Does not make any sense other than creating controversy to get them more attention which illustrates the sad state of gaming journalism nowdays.
The set pieces in 3 were better than 2 no doubt. The boat chase, the boat capsizing, the plane crash was on a whole different level compare to U2.
I also like it was a more personal story and not overstated.
It really is hard to say which one is much better than the other because each of them are all so good.
For U1 even the first time I was on the boat right at the start my jaw dropped. That was when I knew next gen arrived last gen. ...
Umm a future Nate decedent a girl this time say 200-300 years in the future going on a treasure hunt using clues from Nate himself similar to Nate and Sir Francis.
So a future setting treasure hunt action adventure with sci fi elements instead of the supernatural and or the occult.
It could work.
Best of the series no doubt. While U2 made the biggest leap. U4 is just everything come together from the past 3 into spit polish.
