Anytime I read an interview with Miyamoto, Iwata or Reggie it rwminds me why I love Nintendo. Their entire philosophy is on creating a fun and engaging experience. They dont care if it caters to the mindless masses, so long as it is a fun game thats what they do and its why I love them.

Yeah wii sports does the same for me. I was worried it would do the same with mk8, but it is smooth as butter. Will pick up all of these except Sonic which looks terrible.
What other genre would it fit into? Have you ever played it?

A good list created with something on every platformer. I think opinions are generally that Infamous is currently the nicest current gen game out but lets be honest, Halo, Uncharted and Zelda are going to be leading the way shortly on their respective platforms so this argument is a tad moot no?
GOTY contender? Reviews are unanimously giving this perfect or near perfect scores. Woild be cool for such a lovingly created retro homage to the nes/snes era beating out all the copy paste AAA shooters.

The devs themselves have said this is different from a normal Dynasty Warriors game, Aonuma has given them direction and they are paying fan service to the Zelda name wihch means there will be a different spin on it. Lets wait and see how it turns out before we jump to instant criticism.
I agree with you but at the same time I am holding off until we get some reviews through before I decide whether to pick it up or not. Id normally not bother with reviews but this game could definitely go either way.
This argument is so old, there are tons of amazing games out now and of the 3 you want, 2 are coming next year. Do some research, buy a wii u and enjoy some amazing games.
Start with Mario kart and Mario 3d world, then get some Wonderful 101 action then play Donkey Kong, Pikmin 3 and Lego City, you won't be disappointed.
I want to play both, so once ps4s games actually start landing in 2015 ill get one as a companian console for my WiiU which will easily get played the most.

IMO we all know the risks before you buy a launch day console. I am fortunate in that I am a Nintendo fanboy so during my drought at WiiU launch I had backwards compatibilty to fall back on to get me through the drought.
If you think there is gonna be a steady stream of games in the 6 months following a consoles launch you havent been paying attention. If the launch lineup is enough for you to keep playing during the drought, go for...

Remains to be seen if MS can continue to sell as many as this but if an extra 30k becomes the baseline thats an extra 1.5 mil a year which is good news for xbox. Sure they are still behind ps4 but selling an extra 1.5mil a year cant really be classed as bad news.
