This is taken from a famitsu interview with Kawano.
Famitsu: What will the price be? Will it be a console price?
Kawano: What’s a console price? We’ll release the price in the future. We have yet to show the console hardware itself – something we plan to do in stages…
ZombiU is by no means a technological feat, there are a lot more detailed and better looking games out there on PS3 and 360.
The February 20th event is for the announcement of the PS4, I know that as a fact.
It probably is a bit more powerful but not by a lot, you have to remember that this is their first attempt at a 3D pokemon game so the graphics won't be as good as they can be.
I quite like the new starters, i don't think they look stupid.
But there's a lot less games on linux though, the support for it just isn't there.
No you can't, not unless your have the users ID and password because purchases are tied to a USER rather than the console itself like with Nintendo consoles.
Wiping the hard drive just removes the user data, the purchases will still be tied to that console so they will be able to be downloaded again for free.
PC games have always functioned this way where you aren't able to sell them on afterwards because of a unique activation code.
However PC games are also for the most part £10 cheaper at release and then with stuff like the steam sales a lot cheaper than console games.
The problem lies with the fact that games are exactly cheap for consoles £40/$60 for a new release every 1-2 weeks if you want to keep up with the latest releases is a lot to ask for. Then...
You also need to buy the Hard Drive caddy which is about £10
The difference there is that Nintendo is solely a gaming company, Sony has many different branches in most areas of electronics comparing the 2 companies directly is not indicative of the true picture.
Take for example sonys TV department is just draining money where as the gaming division is one of their profitable divisions.
Do you live in Canada though?
It's only open to residents of Canada :(
Far Cry 3 is £37.99, Assassin's Creed II is £39.99 and Black Ops 2 is £32.99 at the moment from GAME.
I don't see what you gain from spreading false figures.
I'm looking forward to this a lot, as soon as it gets released commercially i'm going to buy one.
Wii Plus, Wii Fit, Wii Sports.
All are Wii (something), by calling the Wii U the Wii U Nintendo have done little to differentiate their new console from their existing one, which is confusing a lot of people who aren't gamers.
@JQM78 It's pretty easy to tell the difference between a pirated copy and a legit one for microsoft, especially as there is no "stealth" patch for Halo 4 yet.
Nuketown 2025 IS a map for multiplayer that comes with all pre-orders of black ops 2.
However there is also a nuketown zombies map that comes with the hardened and care package editions of Black ops 2.
To sum up.
Nuketown 2025 for MP = Pre-order
Nuketown for zombies = Buy hardened edition or care package edition.
Some people don't seem to understand the term "next-gen", it is /not/ related to graphical performance but to the generation of the console that is being refereed to.
In Nintendo's case the Wii U is next-gen because it is their next generation of console. People who think differently just because it's not as graphically powerful as some PC's that are around really don't understand the term at all.
@theorstein Pre-orders may be "selling it" but what's to say that isn't just Nintendo not making enough consoles to make it look like there is massive demand. Until we have proper figures on pre-order numbers, not just "pre-orders selling out" then we can't build up a proper picture.
As for the Wii U i just don't see any appeal behind it personally, maybe when there is a zelda or a metroid game then i may consider buying one.
Or so that even if it is bought used they can get some money from the sale of the online pass because they don't like it that retailers get all the money from a used game sale.
I highly doubt it costs them much to manufacture a cheap headset and stick it in the box.
