Carmack said the source textures aren't much sharper, and it wouldn't help as much as people think.
Also, the graphics are fine, the game looks amazing when you're not busy crying at the un-crispy textures.

Well I downloaded the archive of 170 images, and there was only 1 thing that said "Doom," the buildings with the huge demonic "worm" growing on them, the skeleton "worm" looking exactly like the ones in Doom3, that just stick to walls and floor edges.
Anyway if they were Doom4, they were obviously VERY old,it's common sense Doom4 will look amazing as Carmack stated it will have 3x better gfx than Rage.

Have you seen the world screenshots? They look awfull, blocky geometry and poor lighting. Doom4's supposed to look 3x beter than Rage,which makes it obvious this is not Doom4.

FF13 sucks balls, and yet I haven't stopped caring about FF. I know at some point a good one will be released... maybe, at some point possibly.

Rage was okay, I liked it.
I didn't suck one bit though, people who say that expected way too much out of it. People seem to forget that idSoftware is just another studio, like all studios, they're not gods. Not every game they make will be groundbreaking. Sometimes a game is just about action and fun, and Rage was a good game.
Anyway up to this day id has still made the best FPS gameplay.
Yeah sadly the game looked amazing on the trailers, and then half the things we saw were cut.
If that had just delivered what they showed the game would've been much better received, but instead they cut out content, ALOT of it too.
