That's not soda splurging out is it?
That doesn't look like soda.
Nope...that can't be soda...so is that....?!?!?!?
You're going back for PvP in a game where the best items can be bought with real money from the RMAH?
You don't mind being curb-stomped by pay-to-win kiddies?
No mods
No LAN
No addons
You're right, it is too restricting. Everything that helped make D2 fun is now monitored and schooled by Blizzard...it's like being in a private school, except without the bathroom sex and locker-room drug dealers.
The power of modding.
Mod-on gamers...mod-on...
I cannot wait to see this on the Arma III engine...that engine has everything to make DayZ even more epic than it already is.
HECK YES!
Weapon degradation and repair kits.
(as an aside, Borderlands 2 needs weapon degradation, too)
and they need more melee weapons.
I don't know.
One of the main draws of the first game was having enough squad members per mission so that you could afford to sacrifice a few for the greater good.
Only six members means that you can only take your best and brightest per mission and only your best and brightest can die.
Squad sizes played a huge part in the original X-Com because you needed disposal soldiers. This either has to be offset with easier combat missions or......
Is it wrong if I said the combat in this game is boring and identical to every other MMO out there?
You lyin' you dyin'.
But it looks like the truth hurts, too.
Dude, I know!
All these idiots must not have owned any fighting game made during the PS2 era (I'm not even going to bother going back further than that).
All I keep seeing are idiots comparing first-iteration fighting games on the SNES and Sega to now-times. The average core gamer is comparing now times to last gen, and by that comparison we're getting jipped off like a Scott buying a hagopian rug from a Chaldean.
I can't stand a...
People disagree about dumb stuff.
The thing that gets to me are the idiots saying "But, but, but...Activision, they could make a good game"
NO, they WON'T!
They've had years since the original CoD 4 to do something different and they haven't. Even Black Ops 2 is still the same thing with a new coat of paint. They don't care and they never will.
All those idiots who keep thinking otherwise are the sam...
DayZ says "Hi".
Go Nvidia...it supports PhysX.
And before ATI fanboys come running in here going "But no one uses PhysX" they've been saying that since the inception of PhysX and games, including Borderlands 2, Batman, and every other big PC releases does support PhysX.
So if you want the top-of-the-line visual experience for under $300, check out NYC_Gamer's Newegg link and look for a DX11 Nvidia card (something in the 5xx series would be ideal for ENB ser...
Dude, so much crap with the DLC secuROM. That is straight up BS.
Better than an online pass though (you can at least install Borderlands DLC on multiple PCs).
I, too, will be getting the PC version.
Hands down.
@smashcrashbash
Because the DLC affects the overall value of the game. None of the reviewers took that into consideration.
If I'm comparing SFxT vs Tekken 6 and comparing both games based on their value versus the content they provide then it's obvious which one wins by a landslide.
@mynameisEvil
I played the second game and loved it.
It was gorgeous, open, and complex. It was unlike a lot of other shooters out there. You had to think about your loadout, think about how you approached a situation and think about how to take down guys.
You ACTUALLY HAD TO THINK. It was easy to die and easy to fail, which made it a real challenge.
I know a lot of ADD addicts claimed it was boring and repetitive, and Far C...
Because idiot game reviewers didn't even bother considering the disc-locked content.
So how about now? Will they review the on-disc DLC (and just typing that sounds asinine) and tell people to buy extra characters off the disc they already own?
Ugh, sometimes this industry pisses me off so much.
Anti-consumerism ftw.
+1
Have an internets, sir.
You have effectively read through PR spiel and noticed that they're just throwing out a line to reel you in.
The game itself is a COD jungle rip-off but leave it to the PR to try to convince you otherwise.
I really wish they had taken what worked in Far Cry 2 and just removed/added the stuff that needed to work. Far Cry 3 isn't even a real open-world game anymore.
And the...
Dang, the Microboys conspiracy theories in here are thick enough to lick. It's a good thing I don't like diseases.
OT: Peter Moore replacing Riccitiello is about on par to replacing Donald Rumsfield with Dick Cheney. Exchanging a dick for a prick doesn't make it any less a schlong.
