Good luck Phill, may your studio lift itself into the clouds with lots of nimble games for lots of devices, but I think I prefer my good ol' games on good ol' Blu ray, now and in the future. Blu ray discs. I'm sure Phill must have heard about it somewhere.
They chose Starhawk as best multiplayer game of 2012, something I can appreciate. Not a sequel in a multimillion selling franchise, but a new and innovative experience. Refreshing.

So true, Starhawks multiplayer is unique, and a great example of how flawed the gamingpress is these days. It should have gotten a lot more attention. It's like people only want to write about the heavy hitters everybody already knows.

Well said. I've been a WipEout fan since 2097 and I remember waiting for news, any news about WipEout HD back in 2007 and early 2008. Not a thing, untill septmber...one week before release. No advertisement, no retailversion, not many reviews. Thankfully enough players for a small but dedicated community, and it's still being played.
Quite unbelievable for a flagship franchise like WipEout. I still consider it as the best downloadable game on PSN, and the Fury update ...
And raw like the first one, imo still the best. Played them all, loved only one. To the death, untill the servers went down:(

Stupid and illegal, at least here in Europe. Producer isn't allowed to hinder consumer to re-sell, period. There have been enough lawsuits over this kind of bullshit in the past few years, and in the end it's always the same. Illegal.
Stupid language for a stupid idea. If I can't sell a game I'll think twice before buying it, so I will probably buy less new games, only the games I know that will be worth it. No more oh what the hell just buy it...
I bought quite a few disapointing games over the years and I was always glad I could sell them on eBay. More than often the money was used to buy new games, usually day one so new out of the store. That will also stop. And finally, less people will buy the console...

Tomb Raider lost it's crown to Uncharted and now tries to be Uncharted, and it fails. Imo Uncharted never lacked interactivity, and although linear (just like Tomb Raider was) the gameplay never breaks down to pushing the stick forward forever. Perhaps he should compare this to Enslaved, which also tried to be Uncharted and failed.
These type of games walk a tightrope between storytelling and gameplay and Naughty Dog is one of the few developers that doesn't fall off,...

2 of my favourite studio's are on the list, I played the hell out of WipEout HD (online Eliminator is so awesome) and I still play MAG a few nights a week. Never a sequel, too bad.
Still I hope for a new WipEout game for PS4.

Good points. Hide some gameboxes, should she start bitching about yet another new game you can just tell-er you've reached a new level or playing the MP that "totally changes the game". Use those words and you'll be fine, your list has a few possible combo's.
Hurray for twilight years. With God of War, The Last of Us, Beyond Two Souls, Gears of War, GTA V and Metal Gear Ground Zeros there's plenty to enjoy on current gen systems.
I expect both the new xBox and PS to be announced this E3, but with a releasedate not earlier than the 2nd half of next year. With all the grat games still coming up that's fine with me. I'd rather see The Last Guardian get a releasedate at E3, for me more important at the moment than any next...
