I don't think you understand what's happening here. Imagine if you were used to going to one grocery store to get all of your stuff. It's local, it's easy to get to and you've already got an account. Now, imagine a new store opens up, and half of the groceries you buy every time become exclusive to this new store, forcing you to now go to BOTH stores.

How is this disrespectful to the IP? Look at the game. I think it embodies the more wackier parts of the Batman universe quite well. Just because nothing like this happens in the comics or the movies, doesn't mean it's impossible or doesn't fit in.
