Imagine if the Nintendo NX is rocking some VR abilities that plays nicely with this game... and putting on the goggles puts you smack dab in the middle of a raging Pokemon Stadium to battle other real people with full leaderboards/rankings etc.

I get it, the price is a little high but so were VCR's back in the day when people thought it was the "end-all" for entertainment throughout a few years. In time it'll settle down and we'll all be enjoying this technology effortlessly, but until then ffs just take a breather, accept it's the birth of a new market, if you got a little extra scratch from whatever your job is, hit that VR goodness up, if not well then as uth11 said try alternatives like Google Cardboard...

Interesting, we might be heading into an age where you go to a local Best Buy or a Microsoft store (god knows they want to promote those shops), sign a 2 year contract with the "devil" and make small payments each month on a gaming console that has a base price of around 700 dollars (which allows these companies to put much more into that plastic box instead of being stuck at a sticker price of around 350 dollars) much like how our current smart phone system works.

Your brain literally fucks with your head when you're balls deep in VR, especially on good hardware.
The idea of a gaming chair with rumble support, etc. is great and all but 100% not needed in order to randomly shout "OH FUCK!" when you crash into a wall.

I'd rather have 1080p at 100fps steady on new beefy hardware than 4K at 30-60 FPS because I'm one of those humans who have yet to purchase a slightly overpriced 4K tv or display to "game" on and I still feel that 1080p with really good graphic engines still look impressive.
Now if you're complaining about seeing pixels with the whole 1080p vs 4K scenario, then I dunno what to tell you other than there's more things that are important in life than ...
Don't you DARE forget about the ungodly sexy controller ergonomics and that sweet little bae known as our VMU... or just replace the VMU with a mobile app for iOS and Android.
