reviews are hardly ever useful - unless used as **** to sling at someone's face, a technique used by fanboys only
if anyone went by review averages last year for MW2...they would have literally been cheated off their money
the same applies for great games that suffer a lot due to bad reviews / unfair reviews and turn out to be great games

well...thats the problem with GT5.
you can't compare it to other racing games...
GT5 is mainly for racing/driving/car fans, and not so friendly for gamers who just want to enjoy a racer...
so if you have your average gamer that loves racing GAMES, he will be disappointed with GT5.
but get your car/driving buff and he'll go crazy over GT5, racing games fan or not.
its a tricky title, but hey, it has it...
his only redeeming roles are in The Departed (small role though) and in Invincible (great performance)
He just stars in crappy movies all the time -____-

no disappointment for me, I called it =) between 80-90% =D it was so predictable. too much expectation. Still a great SIMULATOR, just not much of a game, fair argument.

the article has some facts very wrong (fair share of delays = we've had 1 world wide, and 2 for japan), and 7 years dev time? lol...thats a little much =P 5 years max...eventhough PS3 has been out for 4 years...
anyway, errors aside...I agree, and its what i've been saying for ever
this game's reviews won't be much, its going to get bashed to hell because people expect god, and will nit pick this game to no end to prove that IT ISN'T PERFE...

the PS3 is 4 years old...and before GT5 they had GT5Prologue and GTPSP....
so...i doubt its even 5 years, I'd say THE ACTUAL development time for GT5 has been at most 3 years total, we just waited 5 years since GT4 (since GT5P doesn't cut it)
so...yeah, but fine, let people complain about 5 year development time, i mean we're complaining about the lack of rewind feature and not being able to...
