See the other killzone post the picture is a trick. What you are seeing is in game but its the main character looking at a photograph hanging on the wall of a hellgast! Turn up the brightness of the pic and you can see that its a pic haging on a brick wall. I have to retract my statements about the pic sucking because this isnt the case.
That explains the horrid shadows and aliasing.
Wow I have to admit as a killzone doubter that is a nice screen shot now that we know it's a trick. In my defense until i noticed the bricks around it the pic wasn't looking so hot. My appologies killzone fans.
Core2duo e6600 at 3ghz, 2gigs dominator 8500, 680i mobo, 8800gts and a gateway 24" monitor say i am getting the pc version over the 360! Its about stinking time i used this pc! Its been rotting every since i beat stalker.
Wow they sure did hop on damage control fast!
So you assume that people that criticize the game don’t own a ps3? I think the game is going to be crap based on the first game and all the other trash games guerilla has made and I DO own a ps3! Some of us use logic to pick the games we like rather than letting sony tell us what games to like. The first game was trash, that screen shot is trash, sony has fed us tons of lies about the game and yet you still suffer from cognitive dissonance.
Yes guerilla did work on it for 3 years but as i keep saying they are an unproven studio. Daikatana was in development for 3 years and Waterworld was for years the most expensive movie ever made both are pure crap. Money and time do not make a good game.
It looks like a lighting problem in my opinion.
I dont agree, the graphics are great but FF 13 looks better. Its not about graphics anyway.
So now that killzone has failed the fanboys are finally moving on to the games that should have been paying attention to from the get go? I dont know why using logic is so hard for fanboys. Guerilla = zero AAA titles so why would this game rock??? I agree drake looks awesome but you are being a serious fanboy about your comments. Sony has lied to us yet again and you still take everything they say at face value. Killzone may not have destructible environments, everything else about it ha...
Dont forget crysis!! I have soooo many times heard how this game will match the graphics of crysis.
MMM that screen looks sexy. The jury is still out on the gameplay though but i have faith in factor 5.
I agree; MS is playing hard ball with heavy hitters for the 360. I wonder what next years big games will be? With all the good games for the ps3, 360, pc and wii its a good time to be a gamer.
These shots look a lot better but i am still let down. The first time i saw the 05 trailer i let one go in my pants.
There are A LOT of killzone fanboys on this site that owe me an apology. I have for weeks been getting grilled by the killzone lovers for saying this game will be a let down as guerilla is a very unproven studio (dizzy's candy quest) and this is proof. The graphics are a serious let down. MGS 4, lair and drake look a lot better. That shadow in the background looks like something out of the first metroid prime (not a slam on prime it rocks) and I hate to say it but the single halo 3 screen...
Resident Evil: House of the dead
j/k
AHHHHHHHHHH
This just goes to show how much of a barrier the 600 price tag was for many gamers. Kudos sony for dropping the price but i still wish it would have kept the 20gb model and let it go for 400.
Is that a picture of a man or a woman? I am just not sure?? The hair says woman but the face stubble says man. A russian chick maybe??
A demo would be nice, fingers crossed that its as good as it looks.
Scroll up and click on the pic rev20 posted. This is an extreme close up of a picture hanging on a wall. That is an EXTEMELY good texture in my book and I have been hating all over this screenshot in this thread so I am obviously not a killzone fanboy. Just look at the pic then go back to gears and look at the paintings on the walls while you are standing right on top of them and you will understand why this is impressive. Look at the texture of the bricks, they again are extremely impres...
