I don’t think it has anything to do with shell shock. It's more about crappy sampled beats, lack of creativity and trying to sound just exactly like everyone else. For gods sake i heard a rapper rapping over Daft Punks harder better faster stronger, what talent it takes to sample a whole song. Rap was once good and creative and then bling bling came around and its been all crap ever since.
Mario I am not saying it is impossible but I am just going with my gut. I am a ps3 owner and HS is a hard sell for me since the game is so short. I know other PS3 owners that feel the same way. With an 80% average it is a good game for sure but if you can beat it in less than 10 hours and it has over 3 hours of cinemas you will be seeing tons of used copies which will hinder it’s over all sales. Jinx halo is the bread and butter of the xbox and you better believe that sony is worried about it. It is the console fps king and the fps market is huge these days. Killzone 2 is a year away and a year is a long time.
They will sell millions over the course of a year (well i am not so sure about lair the review are real bad) or so but neither will break 500,000 in the first month.
True but halo 3 has sold more in pre orders than any ps3 has sold on the shelves. Halo 3 love it or hate it is an unstopable beast and will be the top seller this year.
The games got hyped up to be AAA titles and going by the average of all the reviews that isn't the case. Lair was originally supposed to be Sony’s big game to take on bioshock in august but it got delayed and it’s average on metacritic is only 57%; dynasty warriors Gundam has a higher average. Heavenly sword is supposed to be going up against halo 3 as Sony’s big game in September and its average is only 80%. Sure 80% is still very good but a 90+% would be a AAA game and halo 3 has a bazil...

So far guerilla games has not made a single game with good AI. I am not saying the AI will suck in the finished version of the game but the videos i have seen of KZ 2 do seem to point towards rubbish AI. Obviously they have TONS of time to polish this. That being said the halo series has always had great AI from day one. If the headline was Best AI: resistance fall of man and Worst AI: killzone 2 half of you wouldn't be ranting like you are.
Hugh the difference is that halo is a proven franchise and killzone is not.

Its disappointing that this game turned out to be bust, i truly had high hopes for it. The graphics are still amazing though.

Street fighter doesn’t really have enough of a story or basis in reality to work as a live action movie. Like 98% of video game movies I think I will be skipping out on this one. The halo movie is the only chance video game movies have at being good in my opinion but I am still wary. Please don’t let us down Pete!
