every percentage counts.
Yeah, here in Finland Ps3 and X360 do seem more popular for some reason. Altho PC gaming is still probably the most popular choise which might relate to ppl wanting to get more hardcore experiences with their consoles.
Also the fact that majority of ppl have access on internet connection of somesort makes the Ps3 and X360 slightly better choise as Wii:s online gaming is ... well you know..
X360 did pretty good with its price drop tough, I am actualy starting to s...
Dunno, I dont see EA as bad as many seem to. I might actualy buy the console since the list of exclusives seems pretty good.
They make bad and good games, and they might not be trying as much with all of their series that they should but they do have some really great studios on their hands.
Well havent played Crysis, but Killzone does have really good gameplay on the multiplayer part atleast. Also single player has had its praises too.
As for Graphics, probably not but it still looks awesome.
"it runs good on my laptop"
Lucky for you, unfortunately there have been plenty with problems and plenty that do not see any point in the upgrade. For me it has been pretty much hell because my system had Vista installed while having only 1gb ram.
Well if you think winning is about hardware sales then it most definetly has. However I and probably many other HC gamers have classified Wii more as a Toy than a real gaming console.
For me the "winner" of the console wars is the one with best games, and to tell the truth thats pretty hard thing to do when Microsoft and Sony are both pouring great games for their systems one after another. Maybe we gamers(Ps3 and X360) are the winners of this console wars.
...
Both sony and microsoft are very immature in this. While Nintedo doesnt even comment the competitors systems or games, beeing in more "mature".
Dunno, maybe this is the American way of doing business? Buy our products and screw others type of thing.
Well I dont really hold any value on what neather of themselves say about their competitors. They can talk all they want but I want action instead of random babling.
Home could have been great if it had been a sudden suprise like video service for american psn store. But guess home will be fine now, if it offers new ways to hype games and offers more and more interactive featuers so the players will actualy have something to do in their homes with their friends.
now you can only chat and dance in your home appartment and frankly thats not much. Wheres music, wheres games(cant play namco arcade museum :(, etc
ITs way more effective to kill something when spreading the "joy" for multiple platforms. It doesnt need to be an exclusive, why should it.
You want to drag ppl away from halo, didnt Call of duty4 do just that and in multiple platforms.
PPl should update their info, Call of Duty4 already "killed" Halo.
Now we are looking for call of duty4 competitor. But if you think kill as a term to make gamers completely loose interest on some game by making a new one, thats pretty much imbossible.
Killzone2 wont be a Halo killer nor it will replace Call of duty4 but just like resistance2 it will be a great game atleast from its multiplayer portion.
Magna carta: tears of blood wasnt a good game. Not even close to Final fantasy.
Poor combat system, framedrops, booring as hell, main character with no balls what so ever (actualy tough he was female untill he spoke), not to mention the worst voice acting in history of humankind.
your not the only one..
The first one holds the top place on my "worst games ever played"
Pretty, and pretty good art but man the game was really bad.
- poor and boring battle system
- If some1 thinks square makes girliest male characters, they are still far away from Manga carta tears of blood main character.
it was just plain bad.
hopefully sequel is nothing like it, except for the art which was pretty neat.
There are usualy replacements or similar programs for Linux for nearly everything.
Office - Open office(free!)
image editting - gimp(free!)+ dozen others
MNS - aMsn(mns users probably most familiar with this) + dozen others
skype - available for linux as well.
3D modelling - Blender and few others
C++ - Kdevelop c/c++ (my personal faivorite, but I am no pro so there might be better ones available!)
but dualbooting is handy choise for those wil...
Installing most of the programs is as easy as with windows if not easier.

And theres a really good reason for asking root password if you want to install something, or do something that affects your system.

Even 1% isnt a joke as its thousands of users, meaning thousands more new singers for the MAC song that might turn even more users to MAC users.
The fact alone that Linux has only 1% or less of the OS market share tells how big jump this is. And there are a lot linux out there, maybe not compared to how many windows users, but plenty for thousands of fan sites and multiple distributions.
lets say 100,000,000 use windows, now if MAC gets 1% it means 1,000,000 more mac ...
MAC has pretty positive image these days, their new operating system seems really great and has plenty of neat functions that even i have installed for my Linux Ubuntu ( Launch bar + 4 x workspaces = epic win).
Mac OS X seems like really innovative os, with loads of cool built in features.
It probably tells a lot that most of Vistas features where actually taken from os x, (don't believe me? http://www....
"Vista has increased support for my work over XP, has a far superior search feature and Start menu and supports the exFAT file system, among other things."
I liked the Start menu of XP more, altough the search bar is handy to have around. Unfortunately it falls in to the gategory of nothing new as it was already introduced by mac.
However exFAT file system is one thing I am not unfamiliar with. Might be a bright exception.
Compatability ...
2GB is the "Minium" 4GB is the recommended so thats where ppl might get the 3gb as its between.
all the ppl I know that have vista have it only because it was pre-installed.
It is far from superior to XP, Xp with latest updates is really stable and light Operating system, and it still has superior hardware and software support compared to Vista. With good virus protection and firewall its even safe system.
so in what way Vista is superior?
Guess I am one of the victims of this certification as my computer had Vista pre-installed and only 1gb of ram which is clearly not enough to make it "vista compatible". This kind of cheating clearly didnt improve my image of MS which is seriously on the side of negative atm.
Now I am weighting between the 2 bossibilities, a) uninstall vista and enjoy xp
b) upgrade ram and hope it will work atleast "decently" after that. Most likely doing the plan b a...
Maybe 6% doesnt seem much, but considering UK probably has about 30% of gamesales in Europe it seems pretty good. But if Microsoft and Sony start ignoring little countries it would not do them any good.
Finland, sweden and maybe even Norway are all highly educated modern countries, that means that most of us above age of 15 can talk english pretty well so theres no real need for subtitles and dubs making us countries where you can pretty much sell the same game as they sell in ...
