I think its stupid that EA even opened their fat mouths about it because they are losing out in sales. However I didn't buy MW3 because i've bought the last few COD games and they are just copy/pasting the same shit with a new skin and I'm tired of paying for the same thing time and time again.
They may have won as far as sales are concerned but just because you sold more of them doesn't make it a better game, just the more popular choice. honestly its not...
I totally agree with the "unlock all" BS. Those unlocks and upgrades are supposed to come with experience and excellence. Where is your sportsmanship? Those arent acheivements if you just throw more money at it! You should wear your acomplishments like a badge of honor. What have you got to hold up to show your skill and dedication.

Manhunt was one of my favorite games, they should make a new one for ps3. I can only imagine the horror.
i have like 120 hours on my first playthrough and im still not done with the main story line, all the side quests and factions have plenty to do. Go ahead and test that shit some more bethesda, when im ready for the dlc, i want it to be gold!

agreed, sony is one of those companies that's been around for so long they are almost too big to fail. The sony corp employs too many people if they were to go under it would cause a huge ripple in the market, not to mention millions of people would be out of work.
dropping some of the depts that are bleeding money and reinvesting that into marketing and super high quality next gen equiptment, and not just game systems(tv's, laptops, mp3 players) is where they can ...

easy solution,
new games come with some sort of code to use that unlocks the game. should you buy a used game at a discount, which cuts out the publisher and console maker from the money, then you have to go and buy a new code(say directly on PSN or XBLA) to unlock the game for you for say 5-10 bucks or something, depending on the age of the game perhaps even prorated depending on what the game goes for new at that point, so the developers can still get their share.
If its not a cutscene its gameplay wheather its multiplayer or singleplayer. Thats wtf this shit is!
i hate these arguments. Everyone will say any movie is an artists vision, books of any genre except reference material is considered art but video games still have the stigma of not being art.

It makes me cringe to think that even certain types of porn are considered art but for some reason the metal gear universe is just a game.
back on ps2 with the original socom titles the voice recognition worked great and i thought i made a very immersive experience, especially with it being a tactical stealth shooter. This was on ps2, im pretty sure ps3 should be able to handle the tech.
I never said it was just a mic and a camera. i understand what kinect is. I'm just saying i had playstation2 games that supported voice recognition and on top of that playstation 3 will do head tracking for a false 3d effect on certain games. so y wont it do voice recognition? I feel like the ps community is missing out on something im fairly confident the ps3 should be capable of.

not skyrim, no way. Watch the "dishonored" teaser trailor and that is like the first thing you see is this guys face. And its an animated sequence not gameplay.
Movie tie in games almost always suck. And I mean bad, real bad. So im not sure why anyone is surprised.
Honestly i'm not sure why they are always so bad because if i was the movie's producer i would want the game to reflect all the splendor that the movie is. But for some reason they always fall rediculously short when they throw a game together.
Just another way for them to get someones money cause their kid will scream how they want the game.
