This is just a silly myth. I have a faster 7,200 in my PS3 and it runs faster and is even quieter. Never had a problem with heat or anything else.

I would say that Microsoft are rushing their hardware while Sony are rushing some games. I would prefer to have a console that is ready rather than a rushed one.

As a day one PS4 buyer this week is a bad one. Granted there have been many great ones this year for Sony. But a bad week is a bad week.
Driveclub has been pushed so much by Sony and a big selling point for continuing PS+. Watch Dogs was sponsored heavily by Sony. Sony must be wandering what the heck is going on with these developers when Sony have bent over backwards to accommodate them.

It should be available at launch, though. I cannot see a reason why PS3 headsets via bluetooth or USB (especially Sony Pulse) are not working from day one.
Both PS3 & PS4 have bluetooth and USB. Headsets are crucial for many people and with the included cross-game chat for the first time it should of been sorted by now. As it is most headsets will not work with the mic and not even with sound.

But bad news. And no way to treat customers. This will hurt Watch Dogs. The hype was partly due to being new with next gen. This will fade.

A lot of people were looking forward to Watch Dogs, me included. And to leave until Spring 2014 (read June at the earliest) is crazy. There was massive hype over this game.
When it releases we will be all over next gen and other games and I think this game will suffer in sales. Not a way top treat your future customers - a month's notice.
Feel sorry for all the confusion this will cause on pre-orders. And I bet Sony...

Hey, I have been laughing for years at people paying an annual subscription just to play multi-player. And I still laugh when people pay because everything is behind a paywall.
But, But, But it is not my money. Let people buy what console they wish.

I have pre-ordered my PS4 from there. Good news all round.
Nintendo made their quick buck and ran away with the profits with wii. They made no real effort to get studios developing great games outside of Mario, Zelda, etc.
Very lazy and shows they should stick to hand-helds. PS3 and 360 made loads more money from the software side of things (MS made even more from Live).
I have no respect for Nintendo this past gen as far as consoles go. They had such a chance with the wii. More profit hungry above gaming than MS?

The article said 2 PS3 games from now on. This is to allow for PS4 games such as Driveclub, etc. in November.
But with Motorstorm RC on Vita being cross-buy we also get Motorstorm RC for PS3. So for November there are 3 PS3 games to download. Happy Days.
It is much better to think things through, refine your product, think it through again and then announce it.
The alternative is to rush your product because competitors are releasing theirs earlier than you expected, then announce your product and keep changing your mind in full public view. (i.e. 180s).
It makes one company seem super organised with defined plans and the other seem like its bungling around in the dark trying to play catch up.
The biggest problem I had with the Playstation Camera for PS3 was there were no free games to use it on for demonstration purposes. Sure there was a photo editor that was great fun. But if you introduce this kind of technology and want people to use it then offer free games to show potential.
Sony have learnt their lesson and the PS Vita has free games you can download to go with their camera and Augmented Reality cards.
I am not getting XB1 any time soon. Was not impressed at the reveal and was put off by their dodgy 180s. I do like the PS4 and Sony have a great record on exclusives and seem very gamer/developer friendly right now.
If I do get XB1 in the future it will depend on great exclusives and also whether they re-introduce DRM and also how they implement Kinnect 2.
