When I first heard about this tech demo, I was naturally very excited. FFVII was in my personal opinion, one of the best games ever made (and no, I am not saying that because I heard it on so mant gaming sites, I truley belive it is the best game I have ever played). The more I think about a remake... the less I want it. FFVII was pretty damn perfect. But I know square wouldn't just be able to upgrade graphics. They would need to add soem extra mini games, upgrade the battle system, throw in ...

To be fair, I would like to see FFXIII and versus to stay exclusive. Not because I don't want to see them on the 360, I couldn't care less about that, but because keeping it exclusive means it can take full advantage of the hardware. Every level headed gamer knows that the architectures are so differant, it would either mean a quality hit all round, or it would just mean seriously extended development time, especially from Square because they are such perfectionists. As for this new title, I'...

It should also be noted that when playing the game on a PS3 via a component or HDMI lead, it runs in true 576p and not just an upscaled version of 576i. The Enhanced Definition (ED) output is forced from the PS2 graphics chip which is why a lot of PS2 games - not just GoWII - will look a lot better. By contrast, if you boot up the US GoWII on an NTSC PS3 and switch Progressive Scan mode on, there will be no difference as the emulator is pushing the 480p mode regardless,

Wow, the most miss-informed, miss-commented article I have seen in a long time. A long time.

a) The DRM isn't Sony's the article clearly states it is ARccOS DRM causing problems. shows what great 'journalism' it is.

b)GameJunkieJim - Try reading the sodding article before commenting would you? You didn't even read the blurb the post provided, it's DVD's not BluRay

c) The article is total flamebait and has NOTHING to do with gaming what so ever. Doe...

Pardon me if this sounds a little stupid, but this affects the Toshiba/Samsung drives. As in Toshiba/Samsung built components shipped to MS for inclusion in their console. As in Microsoft didn't build them. Comprende? Something like this probably should have been picked up in quality control, but unless you can prove to me that MS ordered the drives without rubbers, then I fail to see how this can be blamed on MS

Its a sad fact, but 99% of the comments made on this site are made after reading the story title, and mayby a bit of the blurb. And those are nearly all written in a style to provoke flaming. To be honest, I think it would be better if it just linked straight to the site where the story is, as opposed to giving people to oppertunity to create a 'flame-provoking' title.

The only real purpose sales figures provide (especially considering the major gaps between console release dates) is fanboy fodder to start arguments with. Those of us with half a brain should realise two things:

(a) The only people how know how many have really sold are the companies making them

(b) Big companies lie, cheat and steal to get ahead of the competition and don't care about the consumer as much as the care about profit and image

So let...

Personally, I wouldn't like to see Crysis come to consoles. Its a PC game, designed with the PC in mind, designed to work with PC architecture. What did look good from this job post is that they want PS3 devs to work on the CryEngine 2.0. This may be a little optimistic, but a Original IP from Crytek for the PS3 anyone?

Yet another flamebait article, brought to you by the fanboys of N4G. Well actually, let me correct that. Flamebait title. It's just begging for fanboys to comment on it without actually reading the article. I wish it was harder to become a Contributor...

finally, someoen with taste! The getaway got absolutly trounced by reviewers because the didn't think it was as good as GTA (totallyu differant game) Then everyone just jumped on the bandwagon and started bashing it without even playing it. It was the longest game, or the clverest game, but it was a good game (never played black monday) and I hope this one is just as good, if not better, in the gameplay elements

I think I'm right in saying that the CXX is designed to directly compete with things like the Alienware Area-51 and ALX rigs (which can command upward of £10K!) so it's not something everyones gonna grab. The CGS and CGX look like the should be pretty snazzy bits of kit for a reasonable price though. If you notice they both have the same motherboard as the CXX, so you can always upgrade all the way up to the top level bit by bit if you can't afford it in one go, which is a nice touch.

Looks like a very impressive game (dare I say better than Motorstorm?) but I hope it was just demo'd by a crap driver. Still it has a while to go yet and it looks like it shaping up to be a quality game

The original Getaway game was in my opinon an extreamly underrated game. Graphically it was way ahead of it time, the trouble was it was penned in with GTA when in fact they are two totally differant styles of game play. Matched to GTA it seamed slow and boring, but it wasn't trying to be a faced paced action game. It took time and patience to finish each mission, and the idea was to do it with style, not guns blazing. I just prey thet they bring that style of gameplay back with these quite f...

I honestly belive that is above the level of realism that the 'current' generation of consoles (PS3, & 360) can achive. The price of a rig need to reproduce thos kinda graphics at a playable frame rate... scary expensive! an Alienware ALX special, perhaps?

You want a real comparison for price? Lets say you are a hardcore 360 user. Real hardcore, and this digital distribution starts taking off. Your downloading HD movies at 10-15GB a pop, full games at 8GB, regularly downloading your favorite TV programs, music, demos, patches, update... the list goes on. When you start to think about where MS want to take this, 120GB ain't gonna last that long. So what are you gonna do, buy another drive? That's 240GB from the princly sum of $360. want to know ...

350 GB HDD Stupid? Mayby you should actually think before you open that mouth of yours and start throwing insults about. 400GB External HDD for £90 right here - http://www.maplin.co.uk/Mod...

Even at a direct currency translation, that $180 (which we all know it would be ALOT cheaper), and thats for a drive nearly 3 1/2 times the size
