I never played SOCOM either, but if it still has an online following on the PS2 then it must be damn good... cause the PS2 online was really, really crap. This is shaping up to be a really good game though, especially on the cheap. Wonder if the retail version will have a headset like Warhawk?

While I agree with you MJY2K in that I would have prefered a price cut, I spose the majority of PS3 purchases (Including myself) Would buy up those games. Don't get me wrong I think it is a really good bundle, and good value for money, I just would have liked the option of a console at a reduced price.

If you look at all the reviews freom 1up, Kotaku and IGN, they all state that they saw the demo live, being played live, they wern't just played a trailer.
So I guess it is real gameplay

Very impressed indeed. I think it's safe to assume that this is 360 footage, considering the beta will only be on LIVE, so all I have to say is please, please, please pretty please don't give us yet another crappy port when you bring it to PS3!. Show us you are a dedicated developer would you?

Whatever it is, it sure as hell aint a giant hole in the wall. Look at the part I have circled on the attached image. You can clearly see the wall texture carrying on past the edge of the 'hole'. Look at the shape of it, looks to match the NPC's stance, especially if lit at close range from a single source.
I for one had high hopes for this game, but this is disappointing. I am hoping for some better footage tomorrow
Actually, your wrong. MS don't own s@#t as far as I can see. As for MS owning the rights for the 'Gears Universe', not according to the offical XBox website, and I quote:
"Unreal® and Gears of War® are registered trademarks of Epic Games, Inc. All rights reserved."
and as for it staying with MS, not going anywhere else, here is a video of an interview with Mark Rein, confirming that the game would be released for the Mac
