Crisis core, Strangers of Paradise, Diofield Chronicles and Star Ocean came out on Xbox last year though...
Deviation games could have taken the project to another publisher.
Red dead revolver was a cancelled Capcom game that was revived by Rockstar when they bought the studio that was making it(angel studios).
Insomniac at one point didn't work with Sony because they didn't want to fund them anymore and they made games for Microsoft and EA.
Microsoft dropped Moon studios(ori) and they are making a game with a another publisher. If ...
I'm pretty sure this author probably said there was too many oddball games in every State of play and not enough exciting AAA games...but when a small studio closes the argument flips for clicks.
Before the release of the PS5 Sony released the new IPs days gone, ghost of tsushima, Death Stranding and recently Returnal. And Returnal absolutely counts as Sony greenlit the project and funded it from day 1. Your reasoning definitely applies to Starfield though as Microsoft had 0 involved with the start of it's development.
And Sony continues to support new IPs like Kena, FIST, Tchia, Stray, Sifu, Humanity, etc...
And why doesn't Nintendo get ...
Diofield chonicles, Star Ocean and Crisis Core Rebirth came out on Xbox last year. So i don't know how they are neglected...
I'm pretty sure you answered your own question.
"SE is already a Playstation studio in all but name."
Why buy the cow when the milk is free(or millions instead of billions)
Sony popularized it when 2k, EA and Activision had all their games for 70 and Sony only had Demon Souls? I guess you can say Sony went with the flow as well.
What remaster was 60 on ps3 that wasn't several games?
The WiiU ports for switch were single games with no upgrades for 60. Even EA didn't pull that nonsense and released all 3 Mass Effect games in one package for 60.
They can't leave it behind. They sold season passes. And deluxe editions that included season pass.
And since the game is still 70...i doubt they are about to start handing out refunds.
The problem with Hellblade 2 is that it's going to set a graphics standard that Xbox's other studios aren't going to be able to match. Or even be in the same ball park.
Didn't NBA2K start the 70$ next gen price?
And wasn't the handheld and remasters pricing 40$ and Nintendo went ahead to pricing everything 60?
But sure go ahead and blame whoever you want...
Wait...isn't this a reimagining of a game from 37 years ago?
Octopath is on gamepass and Monster Hunter Rise is on gamepass. So not 0 games.
Why is FF7R not on switch? Because it can't run it. And when was the last time a AAA Final Fantasy game was day one on a Nintendo console?
What exactly is the point you're trying to make?
@ Pete
When is Ace combat 6 coming to playstation?
Dead Rising 3?
Quantum Break?
Square won't accept money to keep a game off playstation because of the relationship?
Square made Rise of the Tomb raider exclusive to Xbox, Outriders day 1 on gamepass, Octopath traveler day one gamepass on xbox and not on Playstation.
And Square makes deals with Nintendo that keeps games off playstation as well. All the 2DHD games at launch, harvestella and Bravely Default 2.
All the publishers Sony have a deal with also have de...
If you google bobby kotick payout they reported last January that it would actually be around 400 million...
Apparently Elden Ring sold well on Xbox...imagine how much money From Software would have lost if it was on gamepass.
It just makes more sense to take the nintendo or Sony deal because you still get the 70%(or more depending on the deal) of each copy sold.
This whole gamepass brings you to a bigger audience argument sounds like they just want to pay you with clout.
They have creativity in every State of Play. They showcase and fund Indies all the time.
But as always they say the State of Play was dissapointing because it had too many indies and not the apparently un-creative AAA games.
If that was the case they would have closed them in 2019 when Concrete Genie came out. They were closed because what they were working on since then wasn't coming together.
While i love horizon way more than breath of the wild(wasn't for me) if they counted dollars made the gap would be way bigger as Horizon base was 9.99 and Complete edition was 19.99 on sale as soon as 2018.
I think Breath of the wild was maybe 40-50 at some points for a short period.
What was the big hitter not on xbox from april 2022 to march 2023? Forespoken? Harvestella? Pretty sure you were all asking for ports all year, right?
