If days gone sold 200 k at launch in North America it would be considered a bomb, right? Yay! It sold out in one of the smallest markets! Like saying crackdown 3 is the best selling Xbox game of all time...in japan. Its like 1000 copies to get to that honour in Japan for an xbox game. Number 1 on NPD should be more article and praise worthy. Somebody mentioned 130k lifetime sales for GOW in Japan. That's 2 or 3% of the 5 million it sold in its FIRST month worldwide.
...
While I don't know if it deserves the bad reviews... but 114k is a weak number. Maybe good for a western game in Japan. God of war and horizon are at the 8 to 10 million mark sales wise. Weird number to be celebrating...
Gameplay will always be more important. But cutting edge graphics will always matter more to the mainstream audience. FF7 and Monster Hunter world became huge sales wise due to way they looked.
People will buy the game if it's good. Nobody cared or even mentions that Sekiro is Activision published. The other "devil" publisher. Just like nobody mentions gearbox's excellent colonial marines when covering borderlands 3. When a game is awesome people forget the ugly practices that came before.
These articles HAVE to be satire at this point...
Until it gets IV,VI and VIII the vita still holds the final fantasy crown. It also has the tactics games. But it's a good start for the switch.
Man i don't remember seeing any of these articles when near identical vita versions of console games came out(MGS collection, MvC3,Blazeblue, indies) and they were 39.99 at launch as well.
The switch is selling like crazy. These kinda fanboyish articles made sense in the WiiU era but now it's annoying.
The problem is ports at full price. They should be 39.99 max. I love that everybody complained that TWEWY was too expensive at 19.99 on the Apple Store. Yet a port of that game for the switch is twice as much and nobody complains...
Insanity.
Being that it was called black ops 4 it's kinda expected it would have a single player campaign. They should have given it a different subtitle. Not everybody reads ign and other websites like it. Some people will be blindsided by this.
There's no constant articles about it on popular videogame websites like there is with DMC5 at the moment. Forza has micro transactions and nobody cares. 9's all around.
Is it weird that I think that this "controversy" is perpetuated by DmC reboot fans unhappy it's going back to the old style...
Nobody makes this big a fuss with forza,FIFA,madden. But making a fuss here is actually harming a game in a series that was on life support. I just consider micro transactions in a game like this, to be a Patreon/kickstarter/donate button.
I replayed 8 recently on my vita. It holds up!!
It's just the new fad like the gears of war hoard mode. It's a big thing for awhile until it's just another standard game mode.
Way too close to Spider-Man's release. August would have been a better release month...
If dearly beloved from kingdom hearts isn't on there it's a fail....
It's dead in America. But it's still alive in Japan. You might still get a couple of jrpgs and some indies. I still love the Vita though. I got to replay FFX on my bus commute recently. Now I'm replaying Parasite eve on it. It's my PlayStation classics machine.
As long as it isn't in space with jet packs and zombie dinosaurs. Dino crisis 3 was the worst...
We NEED a Dino crisis that plays like RE4. Jurassic World making so much money hopefully got Capcom to wake up
Spiderman, Detroit, smash bros, red dead, KH3 plus yearly regulars like COD, BattleField. June and July are the only dead months for me. I might do some work overtime to afford this fall. :)
Rise of the tomb raider, Bayonetta 2, REmake, tatsunoku vs capcom, Shin megami tensei IV. More of PlayStation man so those exclusives really hurt.
