You should watch “girlfriends review” “understanding tlou2” it’s an incredible video. She basically says that naughty dog could’ve made 3 more games and milk Joel like they milked Nathan Drake. Instead they used his death to create an extremely impactful emotional response so that we could feel what Ellie was feeling.
I can’t remember any media ripping my heart out like naughty dog was able to do. The story, to me, was extremely impactful.
GOT received many votes simply because of their hate for TLOU2. Many of which hadn’t even played either game. Simply read some of the comments under GOT metacritic. You will see comments like “I gave GOT a 10/10 because it doesn’t have politics in it like the dumpster fire that is TLOU2!”

It shouldn’t matter but it does. I was so sick of hearing that a game I hold in such high esteem is “garbage”, so seeing it win all these awards it validating.
Looks incredible! L4D 2 was the only game my wife use to play with me all the time. I haven’t very fond memories of left 4 dead.

What people are forgetting is that in an interview Naughty Dog mentioned they literally tried to bann overtime and staying late and their employees got angry and threatened to quit!! They hire OCD workaholics that pump out masterpieces.

Eh I disagree. You can argue the mods but even though the PC still has technically more games, they aren’t really games you’d want to play. All the major AAA games come to console, and many exclusives are only on playstation. Can you show me a single other game as visually impressive as The Last of Us 2? And if so, does it have anywhere near the level of polish and animation as tlou2?
Also the price argument doesn’t stick either, there is no way you could build a PS5 comp...
Majorlazer I’m playing demons souls right now and it is very impressive, but tlou2 definitely has it beat.

How was Abby “the worst and most badly written character”?? seriously every character in TLOU2 is leaps and bounds above any other game I’ve played as far as emotional depth, believability, and player connection.

Great? really? It was so slow, boring and clunky. The dialog was laughable. I can’t believe you disliked TLOU2 and call a mediocre game like days gone GREAT.
I guess my taste in games tends to align with the critics more.
Naming other, shittier games doesn’t make days gone a good game. It just happens to be slightly less shitty.
