It’s surprisingly good! Very fun, I’m not a fan of the art style but I’ve played for 15+ hours and still have TONs to do. It does take A LOT from BOTW but it also does it’s own things and a lot of things better than BOTW, some things it does less well... it’s also missing that Zelda “magic”/ambience.

It’s definitely worth it for the sale prices I’ve been seeing it

Did you mistype or not play the game? Ellie doesn’t have a dog companion... the enemies use dogs to hunt her down. So are you implying you wished she could somehow control the enemies dogs? I don’t get it

These people are very well qualified. It’s not some subjective half assed journalism.

Sure GOT is gorgeous but graphically it isn’t super impressive. It just has fantastic art direction.

It was insane what I saw happen to this game.
1. Tlou2 subreddit turning into a pysychotic hate echo chamber
2. Youtubers who had never played the game calling it shit and saying “naughty dog dropped the ball” because they read the room and wanted to cash in on the popularity of bashing a game. Meanwhile when dunkey and girlfriends review praise it they receive record downvotes.
3. Metacritic getting BOMBED receiving more rev...

By your logic the last of us 1 is simple. The story is “transport immune girl through an apocalyptic wasteland”
But the PLOT is about the bonding two unlikely companions develop over a emotionally impactful journey.

The story of part 2 is “joel is murdered , Ellie seeks revenge”
The PLOT is about the cycles of grief and acceptance, redemption, forgiveness and the cost of obsession.

Final_aeon

Joel’s death and the revenge plot isn’t what makes it emotionally complex

Ellie is having to deal with grief from loss of a father figure she lost right at the moment she began to forgive him. She is at war within herself trying to decide if she is willing to make extreme sacrifices to do what she thinks must be done in order to find inner peace. Sacrifices such as her friends, her relationship and ultimately herself. Only to realize that all ...

Yeah, I UNDERSTAND that it’s a fictional fantasy sci fi rpg but part of making a story believable is grounding it in realism.

Maybe read a book once in awhile.

The narrative is fantastic. Stop faulting people because you lack the maturity to understand an emotionally complex story.

It’s in such excess that it’s unrealistic and uninteresting. It’s the future, should have had more diversity other than just sex.

The Last of Us Part II for me.

It looks good to me, but they ARE an indie developer. Senuas Sacrafice was phenomenal and AAA quality but I believe it was only $30.

Indie games aren’t cheaper because they are less quality games but because the development team is smaller (less overhead).

Damn! I guess it doesn’t seem steep lol

Looks really good, but $70 seems steep for an indie game.

I love uncharted but this is painfully bad...
How is this picking up heat

You shouldn’t have to spend 5 HOURS tweaking, then have to restart the entire game. Who has that much free time?

How does a company become so detached from their fan base that they’d think this was a good idea?

“Plenty have had the same issue at launch”
sorry but I can’t think of another AAA game that launched so broken. Arkham night was close. Can you provide an example?

It sets a bad precedent if customers buy broken games. People should be upset. The less we tolerate launching a broken game, the less it will happen.

Dunkeys latest video on TLOU2 is good/hilarious also.

To me, TLOU2 is the best game I’ve ever played. Gameplay, story, graphics, art, overall polish, tension, emotional impact, all exceed any game I’ve ever payed. In fact I think it’s leagues above most games I’ve played. Only God of War comes close. So to me, it does deserve all these awards.

Imagine if thousands of people told you you’re favorite book, movie, game, actor etc was trash, finally seeing it win the awards it deserves does make a difference...

Dude, the game looks great but we know nothing about this developer or the gameplay.

It may end up being amazing but it may not be, why would you buy day 1?
