I've talked about most of those games on the Co-Op before already. And most of the stuff I think are a big deal for the Western audience are what we mentioned. I think that Persona 5 is going to be the game that REALLY catapults those games into the limelight, because titles like FFXV are going to get more attention at Square Conference if at all. But yes, you are totally right to think that the Japanese games are def relevant for more discussion.
There's a lot to cover during their press conference. I'm hoping at least for some neat surprises to distinguish them from everyone else at the show. Give me something positive to keep talking about WAY after the show.
Will do! Keep spreading the world around for everyone to listen. The more the merrier!
Definitely. And the funniest part was the reaction we got after posting it up. Some were saying that we were misinformed when we really weren't.
Bravely Second and Chibi-Robo were the best games from that Micro-Direct. Really looking forward to seeing them at E3.
Its questionable indeed. But even with Nintendo giving it the OK, they really needed to make that clear for everyone in all locations. Nobody else I know in the locations near me heard about this until after it was all over.
Microsoft has a lot of potential to have a lot of surprise announcements this year. More so IMO than the other big console makers.
Ultra SF4 is a terrible port. Very embarrassing on Capcom's part. Worse than 343 did with Halo MCC.
I'm thinking of checking out the series at some point. May consider getting the first two games before trying this out. Just want to be immersed in the series at some point.
Thats a very long response... LoL
Very true. More than likely, a version of the game will come out that has all the DLC included. That'll be the better time to jump into it if you never bought the game at release.
There is stuff to do in the Reef. I wish there was more story based stuff that related to the main campaign of the game, like a mission on the our sections of the reef, but there is a lot in there. More is going to open up when Temple of Osiris opens up on the weekends. So you'll be getting a good dose of PvE and PvP stuff from this DLC.
E3 is going to be a ton of fun this year. Lots of stuff to look forward to, lots of surprises incoming.
I think you're going to want to go reread the entire article, as well as all of the news related to it. Then you'll realize why everyone is feeling the way they are about Konami.
Their gambling business makes a lot of money in Japan, especially now that a bill to legalize gambling in Japan is pulling through.
But still, a lot of the moves they've done have been WAY too radical in one direction and completely off the wall insane.
I still need to play The New Order, but from what I hear this is great and has a lot of cool nods to classic Wolfenstein.
I don't know whats worse though.
The fact they are going all in on mobile stuff and away from AAA game development, or the possibility that series like Metal Gear Solid will lose a whole lot of clout being pushed out in other less stellar ways. (IE: MGS mobile games, pachinko machines, treadmills, bottled water, ect.)
It has to be a nightmare of a job right now for someone working in Konami's PR department. I'd feel bad for them at this point.
After everything thats happened recently, it might be a real thing to think about. They're shifting focus a lot to mobile and other avenues away from making AAA games.
But the worst is how they've handled Kojima controversy and their overall image. No company that is on sturdy ground would do what they have lately.
Very true. The concept is pretty neat. I just wish there was a better handling of the main character, and with a more clear backstory and humor that wasnt so blah.
It feels like a early 90s cartoon show that was terrible.
A lot needs to be done for Nintendo to have a successful E3. I pretty much put it all there with what I wrote, but of the Big 3 I'm most excited to see where Nintendo goes with their presentation. Lots of things I'm looking forward to seeing.
Plus I'm also very curious to see everyone's reactions to their presentation and announcements, I think they are going to be the most scrutinized of all the big companies that are at E3 this year.
Anyone...
