the problem truly isn't Metacritc and it isn't with the publishers... it's the fact that the video game industry is the ONLY industry where the opinion of sometimes BIASED reviewers can effect the success of franchises. NO OTHER INDUSTRY IS HELD BY COHONES BY A GROUP OF POTENTIALLY BIASED INDIVIDUALS LIKE THIS.... not the movie industry, not the car industry, not the food industry. Sadly, the "video game reviewer" has the power to write off great franchises (what they&...

sadly, CoD has IGN in its damn back pocket and anything and everything related to it is praised by the CoD fanboys that work at that site. Also, unfortunately, this genre will only go as far as the biased reviewers will allow it to go. If they shoot down great franchises that are directly rivals to CoD, it's only a matter of time before the genre is extinct and the only left is CoD and all of its lag compensation and lack of dedicated servers.

AND CoD SINGLE PLAYER WASN'T LINEAR?????!??! hell it the same freakin thing... cut scenes, explosions, more cut scenes... CoD single player did the EXACT same thing as BF3 single player, but because the CoD fanboy sites like IGN said it was great, everyone bought into that lame line of thinking.

once again that CoD fanboy site IGN is sucking CoD to sleep... it pathetic how big a CoD fanboy site IGN is turning into.. ANYTHING related to BF, they instantly hit it with (omg, it's the same, what it is that its bringing thats new), when NONE OF THAT STUPID CRAP was mentioned when they were slobbering all over the copy and paste job of MW3... every other day, IGN has some useless CoD article just for the views. How can you call yourself and objective game review site when you OBVIOUS...

its not Metacritic.... it gaming site REVIEWER in general.. wayyy too many fanboy reviewers have to wayyy too much control over sales and how good a game is. IGN is the worse disgusting example of this...

doesn't matter.. those P.O.S CoD fanboy game sites IGN and others already have their sights set on giving it a low review score before it even comes out based on very recent comments..... They were foamin at the mouth for that copy and paste MW2 in MW3 and gave it RAVE reviews and NEVER said anything about "same old shooter", and despite gamers generally favorable reception of the DICE reveal of the 17min trailer, many of the CoD fanboy sites (IGN, KOTAKU,etc) are already tryi...

i wonder if this same person that created this stupid article asked that same question when MW3 came out.. because it was NO DIFFERENT from MW2... or when BO2 came out.. because it was NO DIFFERENT from BO1 (other than time setting and guns - same engine, same gameplay, same lag)

4807d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

who cares... the next CoD wont have a NEW ENGINE or DEDICATE SERVERS, and will be a slap in the face to the consumers..... people will love it for a month and then whine and cry like crazy for the folloowing 4-5 months about how the last one was better...

4808d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

so.. they can't do a copy and paste of MW2 (MW3 did that).. they can't go to a "future setting" (BO2 did that)... so whats MW4 gonna be?? who knows? but one thing for sure, if it doesn't have DEDICATED SERVERS or RUN ON A NEW ENGINE, its a piss in the face of all the consumers that have bought this game.

4808d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

please stop posting these stupid images over anxious CoD fanboys... there's NO WAY in hell this realistic will ever be used for the arcadey, cartoonish, unrealistinc, slap-stick gameplay of Call of Duty. Because that's what people buy it for, it's arcadey, cartoonish, unrealistinc, slap-stick gameplay.

boy VIDEO GAME NERDS ARE PATHETIC... first, you say you wont buy a GREAT game thats part of a great franchise (Battlefield) just because of the publisher?? freakin stupid.. but it was probably a BUNCH of CoD idiot nerds taking this retarded poll anyway.. There are atleast 5 worst companies, with deplorable working conditions that are much worse than EA...

if they dont give consumers atleast a NEW ENGINE OR DEDICATED SERVERS, then the CoD franchise, that makes hundreds of millions of dollars, is basically pissing on all of us.... sadly, though, because it's such cash cow now, these CoD fanboy review sites (IGN, KOTAKU, etc) will give it rave reviews no matter what they put, and people will buy into the hype. Only to complain like crazy 3 months after release. That's generally the CoD cycle.

4810d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

they aren't dying at all.. you have ALOT of CoD fanboy review sites, (IGN, KOTAKU, etc), that make sure that that particular franchise is alive and well... perfect example of this... they gave the "copy and pasted" MW3 raving reviews, despite the fact that it was truly copied and pasted and offered very little from MW2, but when a game like BF4 comes along, they instantly start trying to push the thought of "its not different" or "it looks good but"... de...

if the next CoD game doesn't have DEDICATED SERVERS and a new ENGINE then they're pretty much seriously pissin on their fanbase... (and no, that thing Activision showed is not going to be a new engine used for MW4, its too realistic for the arcadey, cartoony, slap-stick gameplay of CoD)

4812d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

when fanboy-ism is bad is when it comes to gaming sites that influence the sales of one franchise versus another... IGN is the most DIGUSTING CoD fanboy site in existence, in how every other day, theres some random (an lots of times useless) CoD video on their site. They instancely belittle any competition to CoD without acknowledging the actual issues with CoD (same pathetic engine, no dedicated servers, lag compensation, etc). IGN is worst example of fanboy-ism gone wrong.

i wish someone would do side by side comparison of all the Call of Duty games.... THAT WOULD BE COMICAL....

4812d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

sadly Cod fanboy sites like IGN are ALREADY trying to talk down BF4 (with stupid nonsense comments of "no-innovation") after only a 17min video... which actually did show many new aspects of single player, never seen before in the BF franchise, as well as beautiful next-gen graphics.... This is the same pathetic site that gave the COPY AND PASTE MW3 glowing reviews when it was the exact copy of MW2.... any BF4 will more than likely be a glorious experience on the next gen console...

THERE IS NO WAY THIS WILL EVER BE USED FOR ANY CoD GAME... especially this year.. CoD is a cartoony, arcadey, slap-stick type game.. very unrealistic.. that's why so many younger children enjoy it. Those images are for one of Activision's more realistic games... sorry CoD fanboys, but you enjoy CoD for it's cartoony, arcadey gameplay style (its sold millions based on that) and that's what it going to be.... if Activision starts jackin with that recipe, it could spell troub...

doesn't matter what they do.. BF4 will more than likely be great... but EA/DICE are fighting against not only CoD, but the many CoD fanboy gaming sites (IGN, KOTAKU) as well.. Those same sites pretty much had it in for any game that was even REMOTELY similiar to CoD (MoHWF/ Homefront, etc). No matter how great BF4 is (and it probably will be), those site have a financial agenda/vindetta to make sure CoD is shown and promoted... but yes, BF4 with the new engine, new setting, new gameplay ...
