sadly, CoD has IGN in its damn back pocket and anything and everything related to it is praised by the CoD fanboys that work at that site. Also, unfortunately, this genre will only go as far as the biased reviewers will allow it to go. If they shoot down great franchises that are directly rivals to CoD, it's only a matter of time before the genre is extinct and the only left is CoD and all of its lag compensation and lack of dedicated servers.

Those same sites pretty much had it in for any game that was even REMOTELY similiar to CoD (MoHWF/ Homefront, etc).
