Launch versions of any game console are always faulty to some degree.
Remember the DSlite had the broken hinge problem, PS3 had some faulty bluray lenses, and probably the biggest hardware problem ever in the history of gaming: RROD.
Bioshock 1 was incredible.
Bioshock 2 was good but been there done that - the magic was gone.
Bioshock Infinte is my most anticipated game in the last 2 years.

Yep and on 360 Crysis 2 looks like shit half way through the campaign. Theres this horrible looking grain bug that makes lines go across the screen and turns the normal small dots of grain into big rectangles essentially making the game look like it suffers from bad cable reception.
I'd rather play with unreal graphics anyday - better framerate, resolution and no grain bug.

On 360 CryEngine is the worst, seriously.
It's the only engine that produces a weird graphical defect where lines go across the screen like a bad cable reception and the grain turns into huge rectangular blocks.

Unreal looks better simply due to being much crisper and cleaner and lack major graphic...
They can't even program for 360 without having massive graphical bugs re grain glitch.
Crytek doesn't even know how to program their flagship game on consoles properly, their forum has a 113 page thread about a grain bug/lines going across the screen bug that Crytek hasnt even fixed yet! But they released tonnes of PC patches and even graphical upgrades...

It was good but the combat/climbing was way too shallow.

No, it needs an amazing Metroid game at launch, people love FPS and 3PS game more than anything.
Having an awesome shooter exclusive would give it an amazing start, especially if the graphics are superior to the console stuff we have now. Maybe even a FPS/3PS hybrid given the adventure aspects of Metroid.
If Wii U doesn't look at least twice as good as the best looking console games this gen it better not be more than $300 and I it looks the same it should be the same price ($200 like a 4 gig 360).
And it needs a killer app at launch.
And it needs a proper online infrastructure.
Nintendo can't live in 2002 forever.
So long as Crytek doesn't make it. I'd hate for it to have huge blocks of rectangular grain and lines going across the screen like the 360 version of Crysis2.
I wish battfield and Killzone were part of MLG but really no dev has the same online footprint as Halo, there's just so much in terms game types, tracking, etc. Really Halo on line profile is top notch. I like KZ3 online better but it's completely bare bones.
I buy my games new, most used games are only 5-10 cheaper so I always figure what's the point.
Plus I love that feeling of unwrapping a new game...it must be the kid in me.

I wasn't aware THQ made a Red Faction game this gen, you know that FPS with destructible environments and cool mechs as it's main selling point.
Last Friday I was really upset and angry, I came home, put in AC Brotherhood for some reason and started beating up innocent people for 20 minutes.
Not only was it hilarious to see 20-30 people writhing on the ground but I felt completely better afterwards.
I could have gone out, gotten drunk and beat a real person up (or gotten my ass kicked) but I didn't.
