You don't delay a game by 8 months right after being shown to the masses unless it's to address backlash.
Rocksteady obviously would never admit that but it is the case. No game in development ever takes almost a year for polish. Next time we see it, it'll be quite different.

Yet another nail in the Halo franchise coffin. Even Microsoft themselves moved on from the IP after replacing it with Starfield on console boxes.
Why would it kill us? Are the games going to all of a sudden vanish if they aren't all played day 1? Pick your favorite, play it for how many hours you like and wait for the others to drop in price.

It's important because if this not giving a damn at all about game quality and performance becomes the standard then thats all anyone is going to get once more and more companies start seeing all the data. Why bother having any game at all have a smooth 60 fps? Gamers clearly don't care much for it and will just play whatever is cheapest. Why bother investing millions into a true next gen AAA game when gamers don't want that, they'll just play whatever their subscription servi...

The mass backlash wasn't until after Sony showed the game in that SoP, it clearly got delayed as a direct result of the backlash from that very SoP, without it, it doesn't get delayed. Def not wasted time if it makes them take a good hard look at their game.

Don't think Rocksteady fully grasps why the game is so disliked, you can't just change the games core in under a year. Just release it, take the L and financial loss and do your best to recover and learn from the mistake.
