MTX, its happened before where a companies PR will mention they won't ever have mtx in their game, so reviews will be very positive, then afterwards add them in because nobody goes back to edit reviews once its out.
This is always the line before reviews come out, lets see if they maintain their views afterward.
Didn't know they were still making games for PS2.
If you couldn't tell I was being sarcastic in saying why not use AI to code the game. That would be beyond disgusting.
AI art is bad enough we don't need to take jobs away from actual talented people in favor of souless cold machines.
Went to school for programming and want that shiney new dev job at your favorite company? Sorry an AI took that away from you... find another way to earn a living.
Mutant Year Zero
Why not just go full lazy and have AI write the entire narrative of the game? We all know thats where we're all headed. Why not get AI to fully code the game too? Why even hire any humans? Obviously Ubi fully supports our new AI overlords.
It certainly was better than Killzone 3 which went the CoD rout.
@gangsta_red
"they never tried or attempted to make an alternative to the game. No one's fault but their own."
Proof? receipts? Are you a Sony insider? Killzone was a thing you know where Killzone 3 literally changed alot in order to be more like CoD and it failed horribly. Socom also changed alot in Socom 4 but failed in the end. You should really stop just saying any random thing that comes to your mind to suit your narrative.
Also how is ...
Same concept for Smash Bros, look at the pile of failed clones that did the same as the original and in some areas improved upon it but died horribly because they're all just labelled as shameless "Smash clones".
@gangsta_red
Or you know, just take the best rout and have the deal blocked and MS can try themselves.
Call of Duty has been building its brand and iterating on its gameplay for 19yrs to get to where it is today, and also has countless thousands of devs involved making each one. Are you saying Sony can devote several thousand devs and condense 19yrs into 10 or less?
$69 Billion could have also be used to develop a brand new CoD alternative, but creativity and effort is tough isnt it Microsoft?
Call of Duty doesnt sell year after year because its some revolutionary FPS that does anything different that hasn't been done a thousand times before, it sells on brand name. People buy CoD because its CoD, it has the name.
This is coming from the guy that created Dead Space and EA chose to let the series die off until recently, so good on him for trying to keep it alive with a spiritual successor. Callisto clearly had a much much longer dev time than DS Remake, so at the time, the remake didn't exist or did anyone even know it was going to exist.
Are you seriously still under the impression that the paid DLC only includes new deaths and nothing else? I'm not sure how a studio could i...
@BandarHub
Again you just keep vomiting out all the cliche, blind talking points that people like you try and use to convince yourself that your investment wasnt a total disaster. The NFT market as a whole collapsed 95%, its dead, its over. But of course all you've got to say is oh, thats because uh uh... the right one hasn't been made yet... one day.. yeah one day they'll make a really great one that actually has a use and is loved by all tra la la la la la.
...
Callisto Protocol is in no way bad, I completed my first playthrough in 14hrs and loved every minute of it. There are many areas that need improving and expanding but overall the framework is there for something really special.
Actually, at this point no, it really isn't possible to make anything from NFTs that isn't universally hated. This stems from just having the name "NFT", before you even begin to describe what your new shiny non-trash NFT is, its too late if you even started to call it an NFT.
The name alone, is pure poison. You'd need to rename is like EA tried to do with lootboxes where its "surprise mechanics" and even then, that failed horrifically because people s...
Maybe if they just try it out quick and see that it instantly crashes and burns, they can drop it just as quick and move on. Get it out of their system.
Just like Stalker 2
Nothing you can't lookup on your own. Plenty out there.
Did I say it happened before with Arkane? Read what I said again.
Its happened before for example Activision did it with Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled, where before launch they say mtx would never be added, then after reviews were done, they were added, its a known tactic.
I highly doubt Arkane would do it, but there is always the chance, so as i said, we'll see what they do after reviews are done or if the game doesnt meet sales goals and they feel they need more rev...
