TLDR: Overwatch is a solid game, but the perfect and nearly perfect reviews are way to high considering the game has some obvious flaws and a way to high asking price for the content you get.
I'm having fun with Overwatch, but all the perfect scores are ludicrous. First of all $60 dollars is WAY TOO MUCH for what the game is. The game could also use more variety in missions. Having to escort a car in the same map for the third time in a row can make it feel a little stale....
PSVR launch title! Do it!
I think Ed-E is the best companion in the whole series. Once you upgrade it it's just a beast.
And then, there's Uncharted. XD
If you were raised during the NES days then you know what hard games are. Ghosts N Goblims, Ninja Gaiden (NES), Contra without the extra lives code, Battletoads... The list goes on. Back in the day games were BRUTAL and some games only a handful of people could beat them. Now the hardest game is still beatable.
I think if they made a sequel it should be more Power Stone than Smash Bros.
You know an article is crap when the first comment is the guy who submitted doing damage control. Click bait article is click bait.
Banjo didn't sell because instead of a platformer like the original, they made a game about building vehicles.
Well, we think we want Crash Bandicoot.... But we really don't. Some article made me see the light. /s
Oh look... Another "opinion piece" hating on Sony, a Ps4 exclusive, etc. It's pretty pitiful video game "journalism" has degraded to click bait articles hating on something popular just to get attention.
Better reviews = better sales. Better sales = more work for a developer. Take the Souls series for example. Demon's Souls received critical acclaim but didn't sell so much initially. The review scores plus word of mouth made people try the game to see what all the fuss was about. This led to the creation of Dark Souls, and the rest is history. No amount of word of mouth would've worked if Demon's Souls was a 7/10 across the board.
A lot of people have limit...
I think that just NEEDS to happen. Shenmue III is on the way and way too many people missed the first two games. A lot of people are going to be reluctant to jump straight into the final chapter of a trilogy. Shenmue was ahead of it's time and I hope more people get to experience these amazing games.
The third act was bloated because it drank too much water. 7/10
Simple math. By user base alone it'll be really hard to knock of such an awaited and acclaimed PS4 exclusive with an exclusive from another console. If every person who owns each system respectively bought Uncharted, Gears, and Zelda, Uncharted would still sell more.
Why the world doesn't need clickbait articles.
Haters come to hate long after they hate to hate.
I actually found it to be the easiest in the series... It's much more accessible and forgiving than the other games.
Funny, how all he's saying applied even worse for the 3DS which actually DID divide the user base because you can't play all games on the old system. And yet it didn't make this much of a splash
They are dogs, dude.
That is really stupid. So his main complaint is that they didn't recycle the plot from Uncharted 1? Roman is the main pushing force all the way until Navarro takes over. Doing that again would've been boring and predictable.
