@Bahamut

LOL. I have the Ps1,2,3,4,PSP, Vita, and PSTV. I'm in no shortage of systems that can play PS1 games. However, it would be nice if I could just play it on the PS4. It's the system I got hooked most of the time and switching just to play old games can be a hassle due to my limited space.

I just checked the game and tried to get into a couple of matches... I got into ONE... the rest I got into the lobby and before the match was about to start I got disconnected. This happened to me about 6 times before I gave up. The online issues on this game are FAR from resolved.

What they need to do is add PS1 backward compatibility. Every PS system ever can play PS1 games. The PS4 obviously could handle the emulation. Why they choose not to do it is baffling.

Jesus H Christ.... Since when is an 8 a bad review score? The overall concensus is that the game is pretty bare bones, which will be addressed with new content starting next month. Apart from that the game play seems to be tight, and that's what really matters. Not to mention you can buy the new content with in game currency so it's not like they didn't release all the content so they could make a quick buck. This game will keep evolving and getting better.

I don't see why not. PT had no direct tie in to Silent Hill apart from the teaser at the end. If they use a new engine and original ideas and imagery technically should be no conflict.

Clearly you never played The Bouncer back in the day. The reveal trailer showed a bunch of bar brawls where everything was interactive and destroyable, chase scenes, seamless transitions from gameplay to cinematics, etc... The end game was NOTHING like that. It was just an extremely linear and bland beat em up where all you did was fight enemies in empty enclosed spaces.

Well, it has the benefit that the three games were good and the series didn't run long enough to become stale. But I would still have to go with the original series. Mega Man 2 still holds up as one of the best platformers ever.

But I thought he said this was the last console cycle...

It's a series with 25+ games (including spinoffs) in less than 10 years. The worst part is that there's no clear indication of where the series is going and there's no conclusion in sight. I played the main series games and some of the spinoffs but I just got tired. They need to finish the story and focus on something else (maybe bringing back Prince of Persia). But as long as the games sell they will keep making more.

They are not talking about SFIV. It's before that that Street Fighter was pretty much dead. SFIII although critically acclaimed alienated a lot of its fans and because of the parry system, high learning curve, and lack of recognizable characters made a lot of people lose interest in the series. Ono brought the series back to it's roots with SFIV and revamped the system so that it could be simple enough for newbies yet complicated enough for competitive play. He also brought back the r...

They probably got it on a Steam sale for $0.99 XD

This is not Mass Effect. I felt the romance, plus those stupid settlement distress missions felt forced and just took away a lot of my immersion from this game. I've put hundreds of hours into FO3 and NV but I just haven't been able to keep an interest in this game.

The original game was developed by Imagineering, the second by Wayforward, non of them published by Nintendo. Do you even know what an IP is?

The lack of a morality system and the lack of attributes like speech, bartering, explosives, etc make the game feel extremely limited compared to the other games in terms of choices. You could usually accomplish a quest multiple ways and you could do it in ways that could affect the outcome in a positive or negative way. In Fallout 4 it boils down to go and kill or fetch quests. It's really dumbed down in terms of interactions. Now it feels more like a traditional rpg than a Fallout game....

Why is this news? An actor is just someone with a script to follow. You don't HAVE to know ANYTHING about the source material to be a good actor. Pretty sure not all the actors in LOTR, Harry Potter, etc read all the books to star in the films. Now if the SCREENWRITER said that he never played the games and/or is unfamiliar with the source material then you really have something to worry about.

At least this wasn't as bad as last year when the whole Gamergate thing was a full blown spectacle. But the damage is done, as evidenced in the censorship of Street Fighter V and DOA Xtreme not being released west. It's really pathetic when developers have become so afraid of a vocal minority that they have to cater to their overly victimized views.

I'm actually wondering about the PS5 and Xbox3... And the WiiUpiiU... Seriously, how stupid can an article get?

Then we would probably have a very censored and family oriented gaming industry. When the PS1 came out Sony wasn't as restrictive about content as Nintendo and that gave way to a shift in the industry. We started having more mature oriented games like Twisted Meal, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, MGS etc. A lot of those games would never pass the strict content guidelines that Nintendo imposed.

This game will sell just fine once it comes out on PS4 and PC. However, I seriously doubt that they are gonna pull this time exclusivity stunt again. The lower install base really hurt sales and made it look like a weak product in spite of great reviews. On the long run whatever MS paid for this deal probably wasn't worth it.
