This is not a pay-to-play game, it's a trial. 100 yen is $1. This way you pay a little, but you get to try the WHOLE game not a small piece. This is not a bad idea. I'd like to see both options in the future - a free limited demo alongside a $1 demo of FULL game with limited lives/respawns; for those who liked the free demo, but still are not sure.
But I still can't get over the developer interview a while back where they said that it's first person shooter, but you don't get to shoot much. They give you a shotgun, but no shells and you're supposed to scare people with it...
250hrs+ per person and the year is not over yet. I'd be curious to see what happens at year end. 250 hours a year is a reasonable time to play videogames - only about 5 hours a week.

SecuROM killed it. And if it didn't - it will soon. At least for me. I'd be paying for/playing a lot more of them if it wasn't for the criminal actions of publishers who install SecurROM on people's PCs.
All it's done is made me want to get pirated versions, not to save money, but to avoid my PC being hijacked by a company I just paid $50 to play their game.
I played the MechWarrior game for the original Xbox. It absolutely sucked, compared to the PC version. What made me give up completely, is being able to only fire one weapon at a time and having to switch between them in mid-battle.
So yeah, this is a must buy for PC.

Yeah, I agree with Kotick. Drop the PSP support right now, this way we don't have to sift through s#it games when browsing store shelves and most importantly, that our friends and family could never buy us these as gifts by mistake.
