I'm not sure if University bookstore is a good indicator as it probably doesn't represent all the demographics. Can someone even shop there without a student ID? Nothing against your store, I just think shelves at Best Buy/Target/Walmart are better indicators, as those cater to ALL consumers, not just students.
All that said, as of yesterday there are plenty 360s/PS3 in retail stores here in NJ.

Normally I'd say "Gamespot sucks" (because they do), but given the quality of Ubisoft's PS games this gen, I wouldn't be surprised if this was an accurate score. Sad.

There are better games out there, but this WILL BE GOTY, at least according to all major gaming publications.
By selecting this as the best game of 2009, IGN, Gamespot, G4TV etc., will make sure that they have all the bases covered. If they picked a PS3 game, they would alienate the 360 fanbase and vice versa. This way they'll even keep the appearance that they cater to PC gamers as well.

I understand your point but I'm not willing to spend $60+ just to know for sure that some game is pure crap. That's what reviews are for. The problem is who do you trust? As of now, IGN reviews are the only ones I still trust the most, even though they had their share of bias against the PS3 games. Luckily, I believe that's in the past now.
Show me the review that mentioned the freezing on PS3. None of them did. Back then PS3 owners were furious, now it seems I'm the only one who remembers this.
I can forgive most issues, but not when a game locks up your console with no way to get around it and you have to wait a month for a patch to fix it.
But it will be years before Slant Six can make a good game.
I REALLY want Chinatown Wars, but I promised myself I won't get it until I finish Vice City Stories first :) I got a long way to go in that game still....
