Couldn't agree more. I'll probably get ACII, but no way I'm picking it up on day one.

Hugh Jackman is too old to play this role. You need someone in their 20ies, at most early thirties for this.

But since 99.9% of the non-gaming world has never heard of or seen Nathan Drake, I suppose it wouldn't matter.

Ummm... Maybe because they look nothing like the characters in the game?

EDIT: Oh $#!+, they actually DO look like people in the game. My bad, should have looked before I spoke.

EDIT #2: Wow this guy has been in EVERY MAJOR game! MGS, Gears of War, Assassin's Creed, HALO. So to answer your original question - he's a VOICE actor, if you look at his page in IMDB, that's all he does. They need screen actors.

I think it would bother you if you couldn't get past the first hour of the game at all.

EDIT: Ooops, meant as a reply to 9.1

I'm not doubting that they will do a good job with it, I'm just surprised that they are giving out the demo so early. Maybe it's like sikbeta said - for players feedback; in this case I understand.

But since you mentioned MGS4 - It's still my favorite game to date, but I was severely annoyed by having to install each chapter. I have a 250GB hard drive in my PS3 and would rather have one big install then wait everytime I move on to the next act or if I want to go back to a previo...

UBISoft does not have the best track record for releasing technically sound games. Most of their big releases this gen had significant bugs in it, that had to be addressed in a later patch.

AC1 was the worst for me as a PS3 owner - it was freezing an hour into the game. I advise those of you who are not sure about wether to get this or not to wait a couple of weeks and see what surfaces on game forums and then make a decision. At least that's what I'll be doing - no rush, got pl...

I'd have to disagree. Most people I know who play games are known as "casual" gamers. They all spend less time playing games then me. That said I still have my family, job and my health take priority over games.

The so-called "hardcore gamers" probably make up less then 5 percent of gamers (I'm speculating, I don't know any real numbers). In case of people who spend more than 2-3 hours a day playing - yes, it will most certainly affect their health in a negat...

Sorry, I don't think there will be any dancing in this movie.

What's with this and the E3 demo - the game won't be out for several months. Most companies won't release their demos until they reach a finished product. I'm hoping that the full game will release sooner then we think.

I started eating right, excercising and have got myself in a pretty good shape. What I didn't have to give up was videogames.

I don't know, but I wouldn't play it.

Tau Crater was a disappointing update for me - they forgot to put that map into rotation on the official servers, which is where I always played.

Also some of the trophies were questionable, like "Start a clan". Many people didn't get their plats just because they didn't want to leave their clan.

"Will it be different because of the slim? "

It will be different because of slim, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Demon Souls, Racthet & Clank.

Games is what's going to matter this time around.

That's the thing, no one but Microsoft knows.

Microsoft reports numbers SHIPPED, not SOLD. For all we know, that can include the warranty replacements, because that wouldn't be considered lying.

And I recommend you guys get it. It feels like REAL Motorstorm, not just some scaled down version. The controls are the best I've seen on PSP, all racers should control this well. The presentation in menus is a little rough (maybe it's just my taste) and the music sucks (you can replace with your own tracks, so no big deal). Other then that - best racer on PSP. Although I should mention that I always prefer arcade to simulation.

Does it freeze on PS3 like the original? I'll just read the AC forums until the end of November and if all is fine, I'll get it.

The first game had freezing problems. It froze on me within an hour of starting the game. I checked the forums and people all over the place were having same issues. I returned the game and bought it later, after the patch came out and it worked fine.

I also had bad luck with Rainbow Six and Splinter Cell. My point is: it's nothing against AC games, it's just that I will never buy another UBISoft game on day one. I'll see what others (not reviewers, but gamers) are saying first. ...

A while back I read an interview with the Nintendo CEO. He was talking about "Blue Ocean" strategy. What that means is that you should try to create a whole new market(blue ocean), rather then compete with companies already battling in established markets (red ocean, stained with blood)

So by their own admission, Nintendo isn't competing with Microsoft and Sony. Oh and here's one of the articles:
