1.)When reviews don't come out until launch - BAD sign.
2.)I will bet you money IGN won't score it much better. I won't be a 6, but it'll be lucky to get an 8.

It matters to people who have both systems, because they have a choice. If you only have a 360 or a PS3 - you'll get it for your system without thinking about it. Unless you want to prove to strangers on the the internet that 3 discs are just as good as one. But no one does that, right?
Definite proof that flamebait works. A year ago no one knew who he was - now PSM magazine staff is blogging about him. Call him any name you like, but he got what he wanted and you guys helped him get there.
I'm 25 years into gaming and I don't think the games have been "dumbed down". There's a reason that 20 years ago videogames were considered a kids toy - pushing one button over and over to make the plumber jump on top of mushrooms? I wouldn't call that smart. But we loved it anyway.
Nowdays, games have a story, great sound and test much more then just reflexes. I love what games have become. Except first person shooters - it's still all Wolfenstein 3D with HD graphics....
Yes the game has been out for a while in Japan, but I only see two reviews one from Famitsu and one from Eurogamer, both complaining about the online system, which Level 5 swears has been fixed in the International edition.
So I hope they are not being held back because the game quality. Usually, late reviews spell bad news. I hope not - this is supposed be my February game. Star Ocean is plan B :)

I'm a HUGE GTA fan and that's why I was dissapointed in GTAIV. I played it once and that was it. Didn't even try to play when the trophy patch came.
I'll be perfectly honest. IF (and that's a big if) I run out of games before next fall I'll give it a shot. Probably buy it used. Again, that's IF I finish WKC, Yakuza, GoW3, FFXIII, Red Dead Redemption before Madden kicks off the fall game releases.

Sales in Africa might be very insignifcant due to lack of electricity needed to power game consoles.

It's far from dead, but it's still a fad. It may last another month or another 3 years - fads only go away when a newer and bigger ones emerge. It won't just die by itself.
There was a developer interview a while back, where they were basically saying that this is a First Person Shooter, minus the shooting. I stopped reading when they said that there will be parts when you find a shotgun but there's no ammo and instead of shooting you're supposed to scare NPCs with an empty shotgun.
I force my wife to watch this show because I'm trying to build a case for moving out of New Jersey. Even though people like the ones on the show are the LEAST of our problems.
I'd buy one too if they fixed it. Not for the list of games mentioned, but to buy some of the cross platform titles - some will always be better on 360 when it's a lead platform. It may be too late for me though - I've lived without it this far. I almost broke down and bought one when NG2 came out, but then Sigma was announced and I'm glad I didn't. I had an original Xbox and liked it, but believe it or not, it broke after 6 months! Yes, the old one, NOT 360! Microsoft wanted $145 to fix it w...
